Lucy's POV:
This whole week I've been exercising for the competition on Sunday. Me and Natsu would spend time together at my house and I would just paint whatever he wanted. For some reason, he wanted me to just sketch and not actually paint, even though he knows that that is something I am not really good at.
That lady Mirajane didn't tell me anything about what we have to do- sketch or paint- so I don't know what to focus on more...
Today is Saturday, last day until the competition. I really am exited! And right now I am with Natsu and he just keeps encouraging me- and he is sooo cute!!! Wait what did I just say?! 😶😳......uhm.. Anyway, we finally took a break from another painting session.. I think I should just rest.. I'm being to exited, it's not even that big of a deal!
Honestly I get too frustrated...
"Hey Luce..?"
"Yeah?"
"I think you did enough this whole week, let's just stop and enjoy the rest of the day. "
"Yeah. You're right! "
"Great! "
Author's POV:
They both layed on Lucy's bed and rested for awhile. Even with the turning of events that happened the whole week, the two didn't forget about the moment where they almost kissed, a few days ago. They were still thinking about that, even if they didn't show it.
Natsu's POV:
I am really happy for Luce, I am sure she will win this! She's the greatest artist I know! But seriously now, that lady that called her could have done it a little bit later... I was almost g-going to- uhm.. kiss Luce...
After all this time I think I finally figured out that I....I love Lucy... She is.. perfect. She's so kind, cute, funny, how could I not realize that sooner!
I love her! But.. Does she love me?
Ohh.. Should I tell her?....No.. I can't do it... What if she rejects me? And I don't want to distract her from the competition...
Maybe I should tell her, and either if she rejects me or not, I will always be by her side... But I won't tell her now, I need to wait for the perfect moment to do it. Would she love a guy a like me? I mean, I'm not any handsome looking guy.. I don't even have that much money... I can't buy her anything.. Would she accept me for me?
"Natsu?! Hey Natsu! "
"Huh?! Oh umm...sorry. I was spacing out"
"That's fine. What should we do next?"
"Hmm.. I have no idea... "
"Let's go to the park! "
"..Yeah! Great idea Luce! Let's go! "
~Time skip~
The next day
Lucy's POV:
I am all ready for the competition. Me and Natsu are in the town's centre, I am ready, I can't wait! So, each student has his desk, I am already sitting at mine, and on the desks we have some papers and pencils. I wonder what we are going to make, none of us has any paints or brushes.. Does that mean that we have to sketch..?
As we are outside, some people are passing by, to watch the art competition. I saw Natsu a few meters away and I smiled at him. He smiled back and made a thumbs up. I'm glad I have a supporter..A lady came in front of us, and the people stopped talking and stood in silence, even though it was quite noisy because it's the town centre.
Then the lady spoke.
"Hello everyone! My name is Mirajane Strauss and I will be your supervisor for today. As you can see, you have everything you need on your desks, you have to make a sketch, the theme is life and death. You will have 3 hours to make your drawings. Do not forget to sign them after you finish. The winner will be announced in at least 3 days. Good luck! "
And so the race started! Okay, let's see... Hmm.. Life and Death...think about something... Oh I think I know!
A skull! That is the best, it represents something that was once alive, but now is dead. And I already drew that when I was exercising with Natsu, so it should be a piece if cake!
(1 hour later)
"You have two hours left. " Miss Mirajane said.
I am all done with the outlines by now, and I am starting to work on the shades and dark areas in the skull, and after that I'm gonna go into detailing everything. I already see some of the students already finished...They are done already?! This is not about who is done first! I can't see their drawings because that's not allowed. That would be stealing the others idea. I should just keep on working...
(Later on... )
"You have ten minutes left, you should get ready to finish." Miss Mirajane announced.
I am all done! I just signed on the drawing and I'm waiting for the rest to finish, along with the ones who are done as well.
After everyone was ready we started leaving, Miss Mirajane collected all the papers, and we should get a result in three days.
I met Natsu right as I left my desk, he just grinned and hugged me.
"I'm sure you did a great job Luce!"
"Thanks. "
