3 years later, after the barrier was shattered, 201X...
The human knew he would die without food and water. He had been in this forest for so long... "Where... what... argh..." The human knew he needed to get to civilization soon, or he would surely die...
But he did not give up.
He was determined to live. So, with whatever strength he had, he ran straight ahead, until he collapsed. "I won't die, I won't die, I'm not going to-" "That's the spirit, kid!" The human heard a voice. He looked around him, but he didn't see anyone. Only a tiny flower was in front of him. "Howdy! I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower!" The flower said. The human had no idea whether to trust him or not. "You look like you are new around here! I'll have to show you how things wor- wait a sec, is that your soul?" Flowey asked astonished, looking at the human's soul. "I've never seen a golden soul! What in the world does it represent?!" Flowey exclaimed. "It's supposed to represent courage, but I dunno..." The human said.
"WHO WOULD PASS THIS UP?!" Shouted Flowey, and he surrounded the human with tiny white pellets. But suddenly, this hand appeared and grabbed Flowey. "Well, that took longer than I thought. There you are, Flowey." A weird looking Skeleton stepped out of the shadows of the trees. "Ah, trying to harm a human? Well, that never changes. Hello there, human. And who might you be?" He asked. "I'm Jack. And, well... what are you supposed to be?" Asked the human. "I am W.D. Gaster. I am the royal scientist of the royal family. Here, take my hand." Jack hestitated, looking at Gaster's hand. He decided to trust Gaster. "I must warn you, some monsters in the Undercity don't take kindly to humans coming when the gates are closed. We only open them from Friday to Sunday, so you should be careful." Gaster explained with caution in his voice.
"Now then, allow me to say the password to the gates. Please, don't laugh..." Said Gaster. "Okay, I won't." Jack reassured him. "Okay, here goes..." Gaster took a deep breath, and muttered something under his breath. "I am the Royal Science Nerd." Jack burst out laughing. "Did you come up with that yourself??" Jack said laughing. "I didn't, my son did..." Gaster Said, shaking his head. "Anyways, you should go on ahead. I still have work to do out here. Oh, and the monster queen usually goes here. She gives food to the monsters that need it. Water, too. Maybe she'll give you some, human. Take care." Gaster said to Jack, and he went back into the woods. Jack wondered if he would encounter Gaster again. He wondered what the queen was like. "Only time will tell, I guess." Jack said.
