Kayla slipped the dress on and I looked at every curve that she had showing in that black dress. "Jace can you zip me." I nodded and zipped her dress.
Kayla's POV Jace finally finished getting dressed. "Stupid tie." He mumbles. I giggled and walked over to him and tied his tie. "You are to good to me." He smiled and kissed me. "Kayla ready to go!" Izzy yelled. "Yes Izzy we'll be down in a minute!" I yelled back. I did a touch up on my lipstick. "Let's go." I grabbed Jace's hand and we went to Magnus' party.
*During the party*
Alec's POV It's been a month since Kayla and Jace got together. I haven't seen her this happy in a long time. Magnus came over to me. "It looks like Kayla is having fun." "Ya... I haven't seen her this happy in a long time." I felt Magnus grab my hand and took us to a spot where no one could see us.
Magnus' POV "I hate hiding us Alexander." "I know Magnus but if my family find out I don't know what they'll do." I kissed him and we went back to the party. Jace has a big surprise for Kayla. "Can I have everyone's art please." Jace said. I gave Jace the promise rings for him and Kayla.
Jace's POV I took the rings from Magnus and put mine on.

"Kayla I have been wanting to be with you since we were kids. And now that I have you I want to make you a promise." I got down on one knee and pulled out her promise ring.
Kayla's POV Jace got down on one knee. "Jace..." "Kayla I promise to fight by your side. I promise to always comfort you when you're sad. I promise to be your best friend forever. Kayla I promise to love you till the day we die. Kayla Rose Lightwood will you take this promise ring to promise to marry me one day?" I nodded. "Yes.... yes Jace a thousand times yes!" He smiled and put the ring on my finger and we kissed. A slow song started to play and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I love you Jace Wayland." He smiled st and pulled me closer. "I love you too Kayla Lightwood." "Let's leave this place and go back to our room." I whispered in his ear. "I can't wait to take this off of you." I grabbed his hand and we went back to the Institute.
After we got into our room I took his shirt off as he unzipped my dress. He took his pants off and climbed on top of me and pulled the covers over us. He started kissing down my body till he reached my stomach and kissed back up. I latched my lips to his and entangled my hands in his hair. He ran his hands up and down my body without breaking the kiss.
*An hour later*
I looked at Jace who fell asleep and I was hungry so I got out of bed and put my bra and under back on and threw on one of Jace's white T-shirts and went to the kitchen where I saw Alec and Izzy getting something to eat. "I'm glad someone had fun." I heard Alec say to me.
I smiled. "Ya I did... these past few weeks have been great." Jace came out of our room only in his jeans. "There you are my love." He walked up behind me and kissed the top of my head cause he's 2 inches taller than me. "We have a mission." "Great... demons I'm guessing?" Jace said. "I'll go change."
Jace's POV I followed Kayla to our room and I saw the look on her face as she got dressed in her work outfit.

"I wanted a day off for once. I wanted to spend the day with my Wayland." I heard her sniffle. "Baby I wanted to spend all day with you too." I hugged her from behind. "You should get ready Jace. Kayla leaves my arms and heads Back to the kitchen. I want her to be happy. I got ready and headed to the kitchen and we all headed to get geared up. "Alec Kayla really wanted a day off today." He looked at me. "I know Jace but Kayla is one of our best shadowhunters and I need her on this mission.
*During the mission*
Kayla's POV My angry was flying with me threw my sword. I killed demons left and right that Alec and Jace could stop watching me. Maybe I need to get angry more often.
Izzy's POV Kayla and I are kicking ass side by side. Both of our snake bracelets are whips and I couldn't asks for a better sister. Maybe we can finally finish the parabatai ceremony so we can finally be parabatais. I saw the look on Jace's face as he watch Kayla kick ass. I'm so happy to call her my sister and that she's home where she belongs.
