Shivering from the cold, I clenched the papers in my tiny hands. The sun was going down, granting the crisp air pick up and cause goosebumps to appear on my arms. I didn't bring a jacket since I thought we were going to be done by now. Slenderman made Masky, Hoodie, and I put up his pages around the woods. Toby got injured so he isn't able to help us. The other girls got either injured as well or sick.

Sighing, I felt my hand stinging from the cold metal of my flashlight. Shining the light around, I marched up to a tree. Laying my flashlight on the dirt, I took out my hammer and a nail. Being careful, I jabbed the nail through the paper and hammered it onto the tree.

"One down, more to go." I sighed, running a hand through my hair. After picking up my flashlight I turned on my heel, walking a couple more steps before I hung up another page.

I haven't seen the other Proxies, causing me to get nervous. What if The Rake got them? What if I got lost? Shaking away those thoughts, I started to make my way back until I heard a snap of a branch. "Rouge?" I called out, peering up into the trees. The trees created large monstrous shadows on the ground, making me paranoid.

When I didn't get a response, I twisted back around only to feel two hands get roughly placed on my shoulders. "AH!" Jumping, I swung my flashlight around and hit the person in the side of the head, making them stumble.

"Hey! It's me! Masky!" Seeing the masked proxy in front of me, I hugged my flashlight close to me, hoping I'm not going to get in trouble for hurting him.

"Masky! Why would you do that!?" Hoodie tugged me into a hug before wiping away tears that were rolling down my face. "It's alright, Masky is just an ass." Hoodie grunts, patting my head before flipping off Masky.

"I'm sorry. (Y/n). I didn't think you'd get that scared." The masked male sighs, rubbing the side of his face while hanging his head.

"You should be sorry! I almost had a heart attack! You know I'm scared of the dark! Especially when I'm alone!" A comfortable silence fell over us, letting everyone calm down before we headed back home.

"(Y/n), I'm sorry."

"You're fine, I accept your apology, just don't do that again." A small smile crept onto my face, causing Masky to smile and ruffle my hair.

"Enough talking, let's go back home." Hoodie crouched down, instructing me to get onto his back. "I'll protect you from the monsters in the dark." Giggling, I jumped onto his back, wrapping my arms around his neck. "For a seven-year-old, you're pretty heavy." The hooded male huffs, causing Masky to snicker. I smacked Hoodie's head playfully, a bright smile on my face.

"Oh be quiet! I know you're just messing with me! And besides, you're pretty strong. Word of advice, never say that to a girl."

Hearing Hoodie chuckle under his breath, he nodded his head. "I'll take the advice, (Y/n). Thank you."
