She laid her head in my lap and fell asleep almost immediately as soon as I put my arms around her. I knew that this whole experience had been exhausting on her and I couldn't wait for it to be over. As she laid there I stroked her hair and smiled. I have only had these feelings once in my life and I never thought I would have them again. I knew that I was going to do everything I could to keep her safe, even if it meant giving my life for hers. I finally closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep holding Lynn in my arms.

When I opened my eyes again the cabin lights were dimmed and it was dark outside the plane. Lynn was still asleep in my lap and I could feel the tingling as I realized my legs were asleep. Damn, I didn't want to wake her, but I really needed to get up and move around. I gently lifted her head and slid out from under her. As I laid her head down on the couch her beautiful eyes opened and looked up at me. "Where are you going?" Her voice cracked out at me almost in a panic. I softly stroked her hair and kissed her forehead.
"I'm just going to walk around for a few minutes love. My legs are asleep." She smiled and then closed her eyes again. She was back asleep in no time.
Dillion was passed out in one of the chairs and he looked way too comfortable, but I decided that since we were the only ones on the plane besides the flight crew it was alright. I walked past him and headed to the restroom. The flight attendant was sitting in the crew seats reading a magazine, as I approached the restroom she smiled at me. "Did you need anything, Mr. Daniels?" I shook my head at her.
"Yes, can you make some coffee please." She nodded and I went into the restroom. When I came out she handed me a hot cup of coffee and then turned back to her work station and made another cup. At first, I thought she was making it for herself until I looked up and saw Lynn sitting up looking out the window. She had a blanket wrapped around her and looked as if she was in deep thought.
I took the other cup of coffee from the attendant and headed up to the front of the plane. I walked up to Lynn and handed her the cup of coffee as I sat down next to her. "Thank you." She said as she turned and smiled at me.
"I'm sorry if I woke you up babe. I tried to be quiet." She shook her head at me.
"You didn't. I had a bad dream." I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to me.
"What about?" I was hoping it wasn't about Catherine again.
"It is stupid. I had a dream that Joseph got to me and had killed you. It is just my nerves." She nuzzled herself closer to me and I could see that she was trying to make that thought disappear.
"Lynn, don't worry about me. I can handle Joseph and I promise you he will never find you." She nodded and I saw her relax a little bit. I could see her eyes starting to get heavy again, so I took her cup from her and set it on the table. "Lay back down Lynn. We still have about five more hours of flying before we get to Rome." She turned her body from me and laid her head down on the other end of the couch. I was just about to lay my head back when the flight attendant came over.
