"Well, answer the phone, Jensen. Just keep acting like everything is normal." Mike stared at me as he pushed the phone back at me.

"Hello," I answered the phone before it went to voicemail. I could hear Joseph's smirk through the phone and I wanted to smack it off his face.

"Jensen, my friend. How have you been? I was told you were out of town." I wonder who told him that.

"Yes, I had some business to attend to in Chicago. I will be returning shortly. The man I left in charge in New York is capable of handling everything in my absence." His voice heightened a little.

"What a coincidence, I am in Chicago as well right now. I do have something I would like to discuss with you, would you mind meeting with me tomorrow morning." I thought about it for a second. I should meet with him to keep up a good front.

"Alright, I can do that but I can't be long I have a lot of things that I need to take care of," I said.

"Wonderful. I will text you the details. I will see you tomorrow."

After I hung up the phone I noticed everyone staring at me. Mike spoke first. "So what's going on?" I laughed a little.

"The dumb ass wants to meet with me tomorrow morning. He said he has something to discuss with me. I should just end this shit now. It would be too easy." Mike glared at me.

"No Jensen, until we know everything that we need to about Joseph you will play it cool. That's an order." I was starting to get over this whole taking orders from Mike thing.

"Who the fuck do you think you are? You haven't told me what to do in two years and now all of a sudden you want to boss me around. Well, I don't think I want to play that shit." Mike stood and walked over to me and we stood nose to nose.

"Look here Jensen, I have been going easy on you because I know you are hurting. But this is my home and my gang so as long as you are here you will do things my way. Don't make me do something I will regret, bro."

We both stood there glaring at each other, neither of us wanting to back down. This may be his home but I was tired of being under his shadow. Finally, I decided that it was better to play by his rules for now if I wanted his help with taking down Joseph. "Fine Mike, we will do it your way for now. But if shit starts to get too serious then we do it my way. I have been working with Joseph for a year now and I have come to one conclusion, he gets what he wants. This means that if he wants Lynn he won't stop until he has her." Mike finally relaxed but I could see the concern in his face.

"I don't know why the fuck I agreed to help her. I knew that this was going to be bad but I didn't realize how bad. Maybe I should tell her to just go."

Shit no, I can't let him do that. "Mike, I know this seems bad now but you promised her you would help. We can do this, together. Besides, Catherine would have killed you for breaking your promise." Mike laughed at the thought of Cat getting pissed at him.

"I guess your right. Okay so for now let's just stick to the plan. Meet with Joseph and act like all is normal for now. If we are lucky he doesn't know she is here." I nodded and then decided I should get back to the house.

"Alright, I will call or stop by after my meeting. I better get back to the house, my boys are already drooling over her and if I'm not there they won't stay focused." Mike and Trevor both started laughing again and I just shook my head and left.

As I drove back to the house I couldn't help but wonder what it was that Joseph wanted to talk to me about. It struck me as weird that he just happened to show up in Chicago days after I got here and then wants to meet with me. My heart started to race as the thought of him knowing that I had what he wanted crossed my mind. I needed more time to prepare to take him down, I was far from ready for that. It was possible that he knew but I tried to push the thought from my mind. When I got back to the house I walked into the smell of bacon and eggs cooking and the sound of music coming from the kitchen. When I walked in I stood in the doorway staring at the sight in front of me.
