When your parents are super overprotective.
For example:
Me: "Hey mom can I go out with--"
Mom: "No."
Me: "But I haven't even said who it is."
Mom: "Didn't have to. It's still a no."
Me: "But Mom--"
Mom: "I said NO! Now go read your books or something instead of bothering me with your Petty teenage shenanigans."
Me: *sighs and goes away*
OR, if they do let you out, they'll most probably end up stalking you to make sure you don't get up to no good.
