"Come on." We walked across the street to a cheap motel. He went inside to get a room while I stayed outside. I watched as he charmed the lady at the desk. She was literally drooling over him. A few minutes later, he comes out with a room key and the girls phone number. I looked over to see her giving me a hard glare, but I choose to ignore it and follow Ashton. We walk up the stairs to Room B6. We are walking in a weird silence. It was very uncomfortable. He walks in and imediantly jumps onto the bed. The single bed. I throw my bag on the floor and sit quietly in a chair in the room. He sits up and stares at me and I stare back. He smiles at me.
"You look really bad." He says looking at me up and down. I look away from him.
"I don't mean it in a bad way, I was just saying I think you should go shower." He said motioning to the bathroom. I looked over at him and over at the shower.
"Okay." My voice was quiet and faint. Maybe it's because I barely know him or because I'm in shock, but I am just more quiet than usual. I get up and grab my bag and got to the bathroom, locking it. I quickly shed my clothes and get in the shower. The warm water cascaded down me back. I wanted to stay in there forever but I knew I couldn't. I soon got out and began to rummage through my bag for something to wear. I grabbed my favorite loose tank top and some shorts. I pulled on everything and got my bag, leaving the bathroom. I walk out to see Ash going through all the stuff in the drawers. When he heard me he looked up and his eyes grew wide.
"Wow." He looked me up and down, smiling. He got up and walked over to me. He was a good bit taller than me and he wore a smirk on his face as he got closer.
"Has anyone told you how beautiful you are?" He said wrapping his arms around my waist, causing me to flinch.
"Has anyone told you not to talk to strangers, especially touch them?" I push him off of me and go over to my chair and sit. He stands there for a minute then goes and sits on the bed, staring at me.
"Your absolutely right. I don't even know your name."
"I'm Danielle."
"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl." I smiled at him and he smiled back.
"What happen back there Danielle?" His eyes looked into mine with sorrow and worry in them.
"Not something I ever want to go back to." I looked over at the alarm clock. It was about 2 in the morning.
"Look I'm tired and I really don't want to share a bed with you, so do you want the bed or the floor."
"Well I'm a little hurt, but since I'm a gentlemen, I'll take the floor." He put his hand on his heart to fake being hurt but then winced. He lifted up his shirt. The gash my father gave him was bleeding a lot and looked really bad.
"That needs to be cleaned up before it gets infected." I got up and began searching for a first aid kit. I found it and walked over to him, getting out the rubbing alcohol, cotton swabs, and some bandages.
"I can do it." He tried to take them from me.
"No it was my father that did this to you so the least I can do is help." I began swabbing his wounds. He winced but tried to hide it. He wanted to seem man about it. I then went to bandage his chest. As soon as I touched him I felt electricity. He looked at me as if he felt it to and I continued on. I could feel the warmth of his body. I almost wished to be wrapped up in him like a blanket. He wouldn't want to anyway. He's probably only doing this much in pity. I mean who cares about poor me. I finished playing nurse and put the kit away. He was already laying on the floor, getting ready for sleep. I smiled and climbed onto the bed. Even though this was a very weird and kinda awkward start, it is still so much better than home.
