Sunday morning - Sunday afternoon

I got up extra early to run to Wal-Mart and buy groceries for the apartment and some study snacks. While I was walking to the door, I saw that Lily was already up and on her laptop. "Are you talking to your boooooifriend????" I teased.
"He's not my boyfriend!" She yelled. " yet." She muttered.
"What was that?" I said trying to pretend that I didn't know what she said. Her to be boyfriend was Jaiden. He was pretty cute, and I would probably date him if Lily didn't like him. I'm a fan of blonde hair and green eyes and he has just that. He's a little nerdy though. Perfect for Lily.
"Nothing. Where are you going?"
"To Wal-Mart. To buy groceries. Tell Ava that we're meeting at the library at 3:00. We had a rough night..."
"What happened? I didn't hear anything."
I rolled my eyes and left.

~timeskip~

By the time I was back it was 2:00. Me and Ava quickly put away the groceries and I got dressed in a pink sweater and light colored jeans. I walked in the living room to see who else was ready, and unsurprisingly, Lily was ready and had obviously straightened her hair. Her usual beautiful curly hair was straight. It was a hard concept to grasp, since I've known her since 6th grade, and this was the first time that I saw her hair straight.
"Whoa! Your hair!" I exclaimed.
"Is it ugly? Is it frizzy already?"
"No, its just shocking. I've known you for like 10 years, and your hair was curly the entire time. It looks good."
" That's a relief. Thanks."
"I think that Jaiden will like it."
"You sur- I mean why are you talking about him?"
"No reason." I chuckled." Ava, hurry up! Were going to leave without you!"
"I'm doing my makeup! I'll be out in 10 minutes!"
"We're leaving you. You have your car so you'll be fine." Lily announced, surprising me.
"Ugh! Fine."

At that me and Lily started walking to the door. We hopped in my sedan. About 10 minutes of terrible singing later, we arrived at the library. I could see Jaiden's car parked at the front and that he was still in it, so for Lily's sake I parked right next to him. A looked over at Lily to see her reaction, and just as I thought, she looked petrified. I put the car in park and cracked open my door. Jaiden got out of his car and said hi to me and Lily. We walked in together while talking about how late Ava was.

The second that we walked in, my nose was attacked by a terrible smell. A smelly smell. A smell that smelled smelly. Spongebob jokes aside, it smelled horrible. Like spoiled milk horrible or Ava's new cotton candy body wash that made her smell like a 5 year old. It smelled stale.
Lily lead us into a room with about 12 chairs around a oval table. The walls were a eggshell color. This room smelled nicer, but still not great. I set down a veggie tray at the middle of the oval, while Lily placed pencils in the little metal cup thingies.

"Ava said that she's driving here now. And somthing about a really fat fly. " Lily said. Ava found the roach. I quickly googled how long they live, to my horror, roaches live for a year. She's going to know that I lied by then.
"Nat, you ok?"
"Yup. I'm just wondering how a fly could've gotten in. We live in an apartment. And we never keep our windows open."

Lily looked confused but started talking to Jaiden. I walked away to look like I was going to the bathroom, but I hid behind a tall, leafy plant to see how things would go between Lily and Jaiden while they were alone.

"Why do you think that everyone is so late? It's been 10 minutes since it was supposed to start..." He pondered.
"I don't know... I'll text Mia to make sure."
Now all I could hear was the awkward scilence and Lily's phone beeping every 30 seconds or so."She says that she's at a red light and a coQ I was getting bored, so I started texting Ava about when she would be there.
