I laid there perfectly still.
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
"Well I'm not. Ya she was great to make out with but she complains a lot! And she clingy. I like having my space in a relationship." I laid there quietly. I slowly
and I mean slowly put my hand on his head and started stroking his hair. We stayed like that for a few minutes. Then my phone started to ring. I just let it ring.
"Are you going to get that?"
"No they can leave a message." he got up and handed me my phone.
"Answer it." I put the phone to my ear.
"Hello?"
"You did this!"
"Excuse me? Who is this?"
"It's Emily you bitch!"
"How did you get this number?" Mike mouthed who is it? I just turned around.
"You took him away from me!"
"Who?"
"Mike!"
"I don't know what you're talking about?"
"Don't play stupid with me!"
"I really don't...." Mike took my phone out of my hand and started yelling.
"What the hell Emily! Why are you calling Elizabeth!" he stopped yelling and I could hear her yelling. Whatever she said pissed him off because he threw my
phone at the wall so hard that my case came flying off. I stayed very still.
"Were you going to tell me?" he was mad.
"Tell you what?"
"Don't play games with me Elizabeth!" he was yelling now which caused me to flinch.
"Tell you what? What did I do wrong?"
"That Emily is accusing you for me braking up with her!"
"Why are you yelling." I turned to grab my phone but he grabbed my arm. I was getting scared.
"Let go of me please."
"Answer my question first."
"I don't know. Now let go of me!"
"You don't know! She has no right!"
"What does it matter now! We're together and your not. We can be happy together." I can't believe I just said that.
"What are you talking about were not even together!"
"In my mind we are! I fell in love with you freshmen year but you never notice me only if Emily makes fun of me or if I'm with Maria!" there were tears running
down my cheek. He let go of my arm.
"Oh Elizabeth."
"I guess you just broke up with me." I ran out of my room and straight into Mitchell.
"Hey there. Hey what's wrong sis?" he gave me a big hug.
"What did you do!" he used his angry big brother voice. I turned to see a lost looking Mike.
"Elizabeth I'm sorry can we please talk?" he looked sad. I open my mouth but my brother spoke.
"No whatever you did I will find out and then I'll kick your ass!" he pulled me down the hall into his room and sat me down on his bed.
"What happened? Did he force him self on you?
"No. we got into a fight and I think we broke up."
