"Dudes, look what I just bought!" Alfred yelled out to his fellow members of the Hetalians who had already gotten home to the sorority house one Wednesday afternoon. He was carrying what appeared to be a large cardboard box.
"What's in the box?" Queried Ludwig, who had currently been sat on the sofa and listening to this song on his iPod before pausing it:
"I was on my way back from my late college classes when I saw this totally awesome garage sale!" The American elaborated, placing the box down on the coffee table. "Seriously, they had like the coolest stuff!" And then he opened the box while all the others gathered around it to see what Alfred had bought.
"Look! One of the things in here is an original script for Back to the Future!" Exclaimed Jenny in excitement both at what she'd found and at the fact that there could be pretty much be anything inside the box.
"Nice!" Eleanor nodded in approval as she and Eleanor came to have a look at the script.
"There's more in here, too. Let's see..." Said Sandra as she took a little rummage around. "Ooh look! A Star Trek connect-the-dots!"
"And an Aquaman action figure, too." Ivan smiled as always.
"That's fascinating..." They all suddenly heard Arthur mutter to himself 5 seconds later.
"What's up?" Sandra asked him.
"What I'm holding would seem to be a Lord of the Rings ring..." He held up a golden ring on a golden chain from inside a small black jewellery box he'd found inside the cardboard box. It sparkled and twinkled in reaction to the sunlight gently pouring in through the windows.
"There's some writing on the side written in Elfish, too!" Gilbert noticed, who had been standing next to Arthur. "One ring to rule them all..." He began to translate the small writing on the side of the ring.
"One ring to find them..." Kiku continued.
"One ring to bring them all..." Said Wang.
"And in the darkness bind them." Feliciano finished the quote, with his hair curl poking upwards even more than it usually did because of his excitement.
"Ah... hot damn we're nerdy..." Jenny sighed in happiness while Arthur held up the ring so that everyone else could still see it.
The very next afternoon (with Arthur deciding to keep the Lord of the Rings ring he'd found with him), it was now the end of the day and everyone who hadn't graduated already had finished their college classes for the day. Alfred, Arthur and Gilbert were all gathered outside the main college building with Francis, who had come to give them a lift back. Right now they were discussing matters concerning the ring while they sat on a bench outside.
"So guys, I was basically doing some research on my laptop last night about that ring we found, y'know, cuz there was no copyright stuff on it, and it turns out that it isn't a copy! It's the real deal!"
"If by 'the real deal' you're trying to say that it's the Ring of Power, forged by Sauron in Mt. Doom, then I really think you need to start questioning your sanity." Said Arthur.
"I very much doubt that he means that it's a magic ring." Said Francis. "You don't, do you?"
"No, but close. See those markings and stuff inside? Those are production markings!" He replied and pointed towards the inside of the ring. "9 rings were made for the production of Lord of the Rings movies, 3 of them given to the cast and the rest were destroyed, except for 1, which was apparently stolen. Dudes, this is that one ring!"
