Whilst everyone in the entire stadium's audience applauded loudly and cheered, the band members left their instruments for a moment and all stood together in a line at the front of the stage.
"This means a lot to me! Danke schoen, all of you!" Ludwig yelled out through the microphone and took a bow along with his bandmates.
"Our first original song was smashing! That was rather well-written, I must say!" Arthur said later as they all packed up their things and prepared to go back to the sorority house for the Saturday afternoon.
"Yeah, that was rock-out, dude!" Added Alfred.
"It certainly was a rather special song. Well done." Kiku also smiled at his friend.
"Thanks, all of you. I wouldn't have been able to even do this without your encouragement. You all mean a lot to me as my friends." Thanked Ludwig. Jenny beamed in the background, as she always loved it when her new love was happy. It made her happy, too.
While the others grabbed their stuff and left in order to go to the cars, Ludwig and Jenny had decided to remain behind just for a minute. Sandra walked out with Arthur, chatting about recent events and Eleanor with Ivan as always, with him wrapping a part of his scarf around her neck so that they could both keep warm when they walke out into the open November air. Once they were sure everyone was gone, Jenny and Ludwig approached each other.
"I'm glad you gave me the confidence I needed for today."
"It's no problem! So, it's been a week. When do you want to tell the others about our relationship?" She enquired.
"How about in a few minutes, when everyone gets back to the house? Is that okay?"
"Of course. It's only been 2 months since we met, but I couldn't keep my feelings in any longer until the events of last week. Apart from Eleanor and Sandra, who were already my friends a few years prior to my first day at this college, you were the first member of the Hetalians that I met, and the band is the first place I found where I can actually fully belong. And I guess something in my mind and heart just clicked, y'know?"
"Ja. I had the same thoughts about you. I have no idea what the future holds, but I do know that I love you very much."
"I love you too, Ludwig. Let's stay together and still be members of the Hetalians even after we graduate college in a few years, like Wang and Francis." She locked hands with his own.
"A good plan. Now let's go and catch up with the others, and live our dreams from this day forward." His eyes twinkled, his mouth turned into a loving smile and his cheeks turned somewhat pink. He had been inexperienced with women, but whenever he was with Jenny in particular he wasn't as nervous as he used to be.
Then the pair leaned forwards towards each other, with Jenny having to tilt her head upwards slightly because of how tall he was, and it only took a second for their lips to lock. They savoured this blissful moment in their relationship, as it was their first kiss for both of them, and then reluctantly retracted their lips from each other whilst Ludwig gently caressed her cheek.
After a few seconds of this, they turned towards the door, walked towards it, hand in hand, and then walked out of it and went to join the others.
