Deadline & How This Works

401 29 1

Each genre will have 20 participants and 2 judges of its own.

Deadline for all entries: 31st of October, 2018

Round 1

Round 1 judging will,
Begin on: 1st of November, 2018
End on: 12th of November, 2018

Note for judges: By 11th of November, I want all the results of round 1 to be handed over to me unless I have given you an extended deadline.

• There will be 20 entries for round 1 from each genre and two judges will be assigned for each genre.

• Out of the two judges first judge will be responsible for the first 10 entries and the 2nd judge will be responsible for the next 10 entries.

• It's a must for the judges to read the first three chapters of each entry in this round. (Note: The first three chapters exclude 'The Author's Note' and 'Prologue')

• After the scores have been evaluated, the top 10 entries with the highest scores will move on to round 2.

If any of the genres have not reached 20 entries,

Scenario 1: If the no. of entries in a genre is more than 10 but less than 20.

Then each judge will be given an equal set of entries to judge. And after the scores have been evaluated, the top 10 entries with the highest scores will move on to round 2.

Scenario 2: If the no. of entries in a genre is more than 5 but less then 10.

Then round 1 will not take place for that genre. The whole set of entries will move to round 2 automatically.

Scenario 3: If the no. of entries in a genre is less than 5.

Then, the genre will be merged with another genre or will completely be removed from the contest.

Round 2

Round 2 judging will,
Begin on: 14th of November, 2018
End on: 23rd of November, 2018

Note for judges: By 22nd of November, I need all the results of round 2 to be handed over to me unless I have given you an extended deadline.

• Here for each genre there will be a total of 10 entries or even less.

• Each judge will have 5 or less entries to judge in this round.

• In this round, 3 more chapters should be read and judged from each entry. (These 3 chapters exclude the first 3 chapters that have already been judged)

• Once the scores have been handed over and evaluated, the top 5 entries with the highest scores will be listed under 'Honourable Mention'.

The top two entries with the highest scores will be mentioned as the 'Winner' and 'Runners up'.

The above method was mentioned to determine the genre winner. I've also decided to award a few special titles for both the participants and the judges.

Special Titles For Participants

The Best Plot of The Year

The Best Mind-Hooking Story of the Year

The Best Mindblower of the Year

The Best Spine-Chiller 2018

The Best Cover

Imagination At Its Best

The Best Male Protagonist

The Best Female Protagonist

The Best Antagonist

The Best Tear-Jerker

Writing At Its Best

The judge for the special title awards will be none other than me. The winners of each genre will compete in this contest. So since there are 16 genres available here, there will be 16 participants for this contest.

Out of the 16 top participants, a few of them will be entitled to the titles mentioned above. This will be solely based on each top participants score.

This is how I have decided for now. Later, I might change my mind and include the honourable mentions of each genre too. That is alot of work though.

I'll try my best to give everyone a chance, but yeah, that depends on my schedule.

So for now, the above method of judging for the special titles is fixed. If I change my mind I'll let you know.

Thank you for understanding.

And here comes the special titles for the judges!

Special Titles For The Judges

The Best Judge

The Fast Judge

The Most Selfless Judge

These three titles will be awarded to the judges based on their judging skills.

For eg: The faster you give me the results the more you will be eligible for 'The Fast Judge'.

So that is it for this chapter. Hope all of you are satisfied with how this is going to work. For any inquiries, please message me on this account and I'll be more than glad to help.
