"LACEEEEEEE" I yell at the top of my lungs and I hear my best friend running up the stairs.

"LOREN ARE YOU OKAY?" Lacee says in concern.

"ZACH COMMENTED "EYES" ON MY POST, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?" I say, waving my arms around frantically.

"Gurl, you made me choke on my breadsticks for this. It means he likes you." Lacee says, sitting down on my bed. NO WAY. ZACHARY. DEAN. HERRON. MIGHT. LIKE. ME. HELPPPP I CANT BREATHE SMKDKSKSKS. O SHAT. WE'RE GOING TO A PICNIC IN TWO HOURS. Calm down Lor. Okie, you got this, just get ready and don't flip out. That'll be easy.

After taking a shower, I blow dry my hair and put on a one piece from Fashion Nova. It had pastel stripes and it was an off the shoulder top with a skirt. SQUEEEEEEEE. I was internally bubbling. My phone pinged and I opened a message from Zach.

*Zach's POV*

I was ready for the picnic. I packed some snacks and cutlery in a basket. It was only until I reached the door, I started getting nervous. What if everything went wrong? What if she hates me? I got rid of my thoughts and then I hopped into my car and drove to Loren's.

I texted Loren and few seconds later she came out the door looking beautiful. Her blue eyes glistened of joy and her blonde hair flew with the wind.  She opened the car door and got in.

"You look stunning, Loren." I said as our eyes met. She gave me a bright smile and turned her head to her lap.

"You're not too bad yourself, Herron." She says, looking up. "NOW GIVE ME THE AUX BOI, IMMA SHOW YOU SOME GOOOOD MUSIC!"

I laughed inside as I looked her and smiled. She was perfect.

I opened the door for her as we reached our spot and she giggled at the gesture. THAT WAS SO ADORABLE. Loren set out a rose patterned blanket over the soft moss as I got out all the snacks and put them on the blanket. As Loren sat down, i saw her admire the evergreen garden, the flowers, the sun. She was beautiful. I sat down next to her and pulled out a sandwich and handed it to her. She smiled and took it from me, our eyes meeting again. 

"Your eyes are beautiful." Loren said and my cheeks immediately started heating up. I didn't think my eyes were beautiful, they were plain brown. 

*half an hour later*

"I'm so full, I can't eat for a year." Loren said, laying on the blanket. I chuckled and laid down next to her. I felt her hand brush mine and we stared at the serene sky above. In a swift move, Loren enterwined our fingers. I felt the warmth and softness of her hand as I turned on my side to face Loren as she did the same. I stared into her ocean eyes again, getting lost. Loren scooted closer and I laid on my back and then I felt her lay her head on my chest. I wrapped my arm around her back and nuzzled my face on top of her head. It was picture perfect.

*15 minutes later*

Loren's POV

Leaving Zach's warm embrace, I stand up. Zach looks at me confused and hurt. "I just wanna go hug that palm tree, it looks lonely." I say. He smiles and takes me to the palm tree.

I could hear Loren's phone buzzing with notifications after her post in the car but she ignored them and listened to me sing. As we pulled up to her house, I felt my heart ache.

"Thanks for today, Zach." Loren said, her eyes weary. I simply smiled. She laid her soft lips on my  cheek and opened the car door.

"Bye, Zach" She said, getting out of the car as I waved goodbye. I blushed madly.
