Personality// Cartier is a very quiet, private person......a man of few words. As a burner, people expect him to be often infuriated or easily irritated....and they're not wrong. Instead of channeling his anger in public or in outrageous fashions, he keeps them internal or rants in front of people he knows. If he needs to show his frustration, he will but in an appropriate way, though public outbursts are not unheard of. His general demeanor is just a kind, observant man who is looking after his children and wife. He is protective but also flexible when it come to freedom (unless he is angry). Cartier enjoys telling the truth, but has trouble when it comes to telling the hard truth. He is not someone who wishes to hurt others feelings. He wants people to feel accepted and loved even if it means lying. At the end of the day, lying is ok as long as it keeps people safe.
Likes: Cartier is a loving father and husband. He enjoys conversation as well as getting to know people though he does eventually need some alone time at the end of a busy day. He savors time in his day to do things he enjoys such as reading/writing, gazing outside the window, and practicing gun skills/tricks (a hobby his father introduced him too). Regarding his occupation, he enjoys maintaining peace and having healthy relationships with people.
Dislikes: The hardest part of Cartier's life is interpreting what his wife wants or her emotions. Her mood often fluctuates and she isn't very open to explaining how she feels. Additionally, she often seems fake in front of others and he fears she is doing the same to him. When it comes to ruling, Cartier is a strong advocate for stability and anything that could alter the peace irritates him--such as the Reds. Regarding the general public, Cartier dislikes the lack of common sense and unloyal individuals.
Occupation: King of Norta
Thoughts on Selection: Cartier grew up as a royal and found the Selection intriguing. He was, however, opposed to the idea of survival of the fittest at his own selection (mostly due to the fact that it greatly influenced his wife's demeanor). He hopes his children find love and are satisfied with their choice.
Backstory: Before they were married, Eria and Cartier connected through their amiable nature and love for expanding their knowledge. However, since her demeanor changed, Cartier had found adapting difficult. She is no longer the sweet girl he had fallen in love with and her cold words often hurt and confuse him. Though he is very self-confident, his wife's uncontrollable personality often affects him mentally and emotionally. Instead of having contagious laughter or kindness, most of their conversations end up in arguments and he hates it. He despises their current distance and wishes so much that it would change. The hardest part about their relationship is that Cartier loves his wife unconditionally and wishes that he can someone alter her to be as she once was but fears she may never be the same again.

Biggest fear: Cartier fears many things, most pertaining to instability or attacks by the Reds. He also doesn't want anything to happen to his family, especially his children. Yet, his greatest fear is not being able to change his wife's cold hearted personality. It often keeps him up at night.
