I had just sat down after the bell rung and the teacher walked in the room with someone standing behind him.

Teacher: okay settle down guys, I have a few announcements to make first, the pep rally will be in the gym today and second we have a new student, his name is Dylan Lopez and Dylan you can sit by Paige...miss Garcia I'm looking forward to you two work together for the remainder of the year...

Paige: sure Mr. Daniels...

Mr. Daniels: thank you Paige, Dylan please take your seat

I watched as he walked over to the seat next to me and sat down, I seen Samantha looking at me so I quickly stuck my tongue out at her and watched as she turned around like she was before than I introduced myself to the new student...

Paige: hi I'm Paige...

Dylan: I'm Dylan...

Paige: did you get your class schedule?

Dylan: yeah...I tried finding the classes before the bell rang and this was the only I found...

Paige: do you mind if I looked at it?

I watched as he pulled the paper out of his pocket and handed it to me.

Paige: oh we both have the same classes so you can just follow me.

Dylan: good deal...so when is lunch?

Paige: the lunch bell will ring at 11:45 and our class after that will be at 12:15

Dylan: cool...

The rest of the day flew by quickly and I was about to head home when I heard my name being called so I quickly turned around and seen Dylan jogging towards me...

Paige: oh hey Dylan, what's up?

Dylan: oh not much, I seen you walking and thought I would join you if you didn't mind....

Paige: oh I don't mind, I was just walking home...

We talked all the way to my house which was nice having someone to talk with that wasn't going to judge me for my appearance...

Paige: this is me...how much further do you have before heading home?

Dylan: its right there actually and it looks like my mom isn't home so...I guess I will see you at school tomorrow?

Paige: yeah not unless you want to start walking to school with me everyday...

Dylan: yeah we can do that. Good night Paige

I walked inside and quietly shut the door and heard a sound coming from upstairs, I slowly walked up there and noticed that the door to my parent's room was cracked enough and I seen my mom getting pushed up against the dresser while a guy that I have never seen before had his way with her while she screamed his name...I backed away from the door and headed into my room as I shut the door making sure my mom didn't know that I was home....
