Ruby's smile turned into a frown. Her heart froze. Her body stood still. So that's why the woman looked so familiar. Because they shared the same blood. Tears started to build up in her eyes, but she ignored them. Eva on the other side was thrilled. Without thinking she pulled Ruby into a huge as Ruby stood completely still.
"No" Ruby said softy into her mother's shirt.
"What? I'm sorry sweetheart, what did you say?" Eva asked and held Ruby's face in her hands.
"No. You are not my mother!" Ruby pulled away and stood next to Tony.
"What do you mean, honey?" Eva said innocently. "Our DNAs are a match. You are my daughter."
"NO NO No no..." Ruby said as she walked farther away from Eva.
"Please...Ruby. Let me fix the mistake I made." Eva said as tears ran down her face.
"You had that chance 12 years ago!!!" Ruby yelled and slowly her eyes turned black. Tony quickly made his way to her and comforted her.
"I'm s-so sorry..." Eva whispered. "I would have done it differently. I- I'm sorry-"
"Why..." Ruby said and looked up at the woman who gave birth to her. "Why did you leave me....?"
"I had m-money problems. I didn't have enough money t-to even get y-you a D-DNA test." Eva stuttered. "I n-never knew he was y-your father."
"You left me because you had money problems?!?" Ruby said sharply as patches of grey color grown on her skin.
"I know i-its sounds b-bad, but-" Eva said
"But what?!?" Ruby yelled.
"It was worse than you can imagine!" Eva yelled
" . . . I didn't imagine it." Ruby said and she glared at Eva. "I lived it" as she said it memories from her time on the streets came back to her.
"Please Ruby..." Eva started
"Let me ask you a question." Ruby said. "Did you ever give me a name? Was I worth a name?"
Eva stayed silent and that was all the answer Ruby needed. She never had a name. A few weeks ago the only name she had was Subject E305. Even HYDRA thought of a name for her, but her own mother . . . never did.
"I knew it" Ruby said softy with a broken laugh.
"Ruby...please...just let me make things right." Eva begged. "I promise to give you anything you want. Just give me a second chance!"
"Do you honestly think that I wanted money or fame or anything?" Ruby asked with so much strength in her voice that Eva flinched. "All I wanted was my mother when I was left on the streets, but you never came back. You never gave me a last huge. Or a last kiss. You never gave me a second chance!! So let me ask you this. Why would I ever give YOU a second chance?"
Ruby glared one last time at her before walking away towards the door. Just when she was about to open the door Eva spoke.
"I'm your MOTHER!!!"
Ruby stayed quiet for a few seconds before saying.
"My mother left me years ago . . . ."
When Ruby was on the other side of the door she started to run. She ran as fast as she could. She ran to her room with heavy breathing. Quickly she opened the door and closed it behind her. She fell on the bed, closed her eyes, and took deep breaths.

Meanwhile, Tony lead Eva to the exit without a single word leaving his mouth. When he finished he went back to the room he was just in. He sighed and rubbed his head. Just then Rhodes entered the room. With difficulty he managed to sit next to Tony.
"What's wrong?" He asked Tony.
"Do you really want to know?" Tony asked
"Of course, now talk." Rhodes demanded
"God...Rhodes, I'm the shittiest father in the world." Tony said
"What did you do?" Rhodes asked
"Well after everything that happened with Steve, Bucky, and my parents, I thought that it'll be a good idea to trace down Ruby's mother. I thought maybe they could work things out and Ruby would get to live with her mother until I clear her name, but . . . that idea went up in flames when they both meet" Tony explained.
"Tony, Tony, Tony. . . You can force things to happen like you do with your machines. Let nature take its time."Rhodes said."Is Ruby mad at you?"
"Oh no, She's probably pissed at me." Tony said "What the hell do I do now?"
"Make it up to her." Rhodes simply said. "Give her something she really wants. Something that'll make her happy."
Tony thought for a moment before his eyes widened. "You're a genius, Rhodes!"
"Of course I am" Rhodes said. "Now tell me why exactly I'm a genius?"
"You gave me the perfect thing to give her." Tony said and jumped from the sofa. "I need to go."
"Ok? Bye?" Rhodes said as Tony ran to his lab.
