CHAPTER 3 "MATE"

I'm woken up by an announcement on the plane saying we are about to land, I look at my watch and see it's 1:30 pm, so I stretch my body and sit up straight, "men I really did need that nap".
After about 2 minutes of me being awake  I feel the plane landing and so I pull up the window by my side and I said "hmmm, new york"....

"Woah that was a long journey" I say breathing out as I walk into the house that Adrian bought for me, "it's so beautiful, oh my rian, oh yes I should call him and tell him that I'm here".
I pick up my phone and see that it's 2:15pm already "oh no I'm going to be late on my first day in the department" I say and take my bags and run upstairs. Then I just wash my face, pack my hair in a messy bun, and put on my usual work clothes consisting of a grey plain shirt with black leather jeans, black combat boots and pack leather jacket with a pistol in my jeans.
Then I run to the garage after picking up my stuff to see my car that rian bought for me "wow" I was left breathless it was a 2019 silver mustang GT convertible with its beautiful black wheels, no time gotta go so I enter it and connect my phone to the GPS to find my way to the department, it's 2:30 now, "shit" I cuss under my breathe....

I stop at the front of N.Y.P.D and come out then I walk briskly but taking note of my surrounding. As I get in I  see lan standing there talking to a man who looked like he was in his mid 40's, so I walk towards them and then Ian looks up and smiles at me, let me give you a quick description of Ian, well he's my only best friend apart from my family ,he's 27 yrs  old, very good looking with black hair and dark black eyes, he likes to leave his beards unshaven  but not too much, he has full red kissable lips, no I don't like him only describing him, though my my sister, Ana said he likes me but I doubt, he also has the bad boy look but his character is too stupid and funny to be one, but he's smart, we both came from the L.A.P.D, yes he's the Mr Ross my boss was talking about, he is also a werewolf and he has a very close relationship with Alec, Ana's mate, they say that they  were child hood friends but it just gives me a weird feeling, oh well.
  "Hey Ali, how are you, how was your journey? " he asks grinning I just shake my head and say "I'm alright and my trip was okay" returning the smile then I turn towards the man who is just standing there smiling at me i hope this is my boss he looks nice. I smile at him "Good day sir, I'm Aliya Jenkins just transferred from..." I say but I'm cut off, "from the L.A.P.D, I know and I'm Mr Ryder Black I'm your new boss and you are kinda late" he says looking at his watch. "I'm sorry Mr Ryder, I was only told I was transferred here this morning" I say, "you can call me Ryder you are making me seem old and in that case you are early, so let me tell you a little  about your work" he says while walking into his office, I know that because his name is written on it "MR BLACK".
"Every person here belongs to  a team well except from you guys and Mr Gray of course, so you guys are going to team up with him, before you came he wasn't in a team and he still handled things well, with you guys according to the info I got it'll be better I guess" Mr Ryder says while smiling and Ian nodding he's head , " any questions?" He asks. "Mr, sorry I mean Ryder who is this gray guy everyone's talking about?" I ask, he looks confused " you don't know him?" If I did will I be asking, I shake my head in a no response. "Well you'll find out soon" he says and walks off immediately and immediately  he opens the door the most amazing scent hits my nose, it was like a mixture of burning wood and cinnamon  then I whip my head towards the direction and see the most beautiful being ever, "mate" my wolf says and she jumps happily in my body but I'm not that happy, so I don't show any emotions, I don't think I need a mate anymore I mean i've survived this long without one I think as he walks towards Ian and I, while staring at me, "lady and gentleman meet Mr Gray Salter,  Mr Gray meet Mrs Aliya Jenkins and Mr Ian Ross, they've both just been transferred from the L.A.P.D today and you are all in a  team" Mr ryder says then pauses looking at us, as Gray is staring at me intensely and I'm staring at him both of us with hidden emotions but  Ian as anger in his face as he is staring at Gray, then Mr Ryder continues "so I gotta go Mr Gray you can show them their offices later and give them a little orientation on the job I'm going to meet with the other transferred agents since I've met with the two most important ones" then he leaves the office, all of us still silent. Then I break it " you heard him orientation time" I say while pointing at the door then Gray just turns around and gives us a signal with his hands to follow him. Ian goes first, but he holds my hands then I follow behind, oh this is going to be great (note my sarcasm )...
A/N: sorry I've been busy so couldn't update earlier, but here you have it they've met finally and the guy above will be a new character just hold up.
