chapter 4 "How old are you?"

Gray's POV
I got to work early and Mr Ryder told me of us having new colleagues, which would be of great help I didn't agree with him one bit. I think I like being on my own. But he insisted and also said that there are two special one's that were very good, he also said something about about them being from the L.A.P.D, but I just ignored and still said I was better on my own,but he said that both of them and i will be on a team to make our department greater. I just ignored him and angrily walked into my office, I'm pretty sure my other colleagues were surprised that I talked to my boss like that but he can't do anything like firing me because without me the department is not nothing. when I got to my office a lot of files were waiting for me on my table so I quickly dealt with them and just stood staring out the window until I heard Mr Ryder chatting with someone in the hallway and as usual I got up and went to look at who he was talking to and and I saw a guy around my age I'm sure that's the new guy and I was still staring when a beautiful scent hit my nose , it smelt of strawberries and roses and then a beautiful girl walked in, she was breathtaking, with her beautiful grey hair and mesmerizing grey eyes that complemented her hair.
My wolf jumped happily in my body "mate". I'm not sure if I'm ready to meet her yet, I'm scared she'll reject me, I thought to myself as I walked inside my office and sat down trying to distract myself and calm my wolf. After what felt like 2 hours but only 5 minutes "shit", I say under my breathe and get up and go outside but I don't see her. I follow her scent to Mr Ryder's door and I'm about to open when I hear my name, I try listening but the door opens so I walk in and I see her back but then her head whips towards me and I can't stop staring at her she's perfect,my perfect mate. I hear her say "mate" but I keep staring as she stares too but with no emotion like me hidden emotions, while we are staring Mr Ryder is saying something he pauses then continues but I don't break eye contact and so does she, I can see that guy from earlier he looks angry .
Mr Ryder walks out but we are still staring in silence."you heard him orientation time" she says breaking the silence with her beautiful voice I watch her lips movement gosh such beautiful lips, I turn around and motion for them to follow me I see the guy coming first and he holds her hand, my blood is boiling but I breathe in, control yourself I say in my head.

I walk into my office well now ours and I see two other tables already, you've got to be kidding me.
I turn around and face them and see the guy whisper something in her ear that makes her laugh so I clear my throat and they look up while smiling, I just shake my head "i'm Gray Salter" I say waiting for them to reply. Then she comes forward and says "Aliya jenkins" stretching her hand out and smiling, what a beautiful name so I shake her hand while looking at her eyes, I feel the sparks running through me and I can't seem to let go, no I don't want to let go,but she pulls her hand away and walks backward looking nervous man she's so fucking beautiful, then the other guy comes forward "Ian Ross" he says and stretches his hand but doesn't Smile and I can feel jealousy radiating off him I give him a look saying she's mine he just smirks then I pull away."So welcome this is our office where we'll be working as a team from now on-" I start saying but someone cuts me off "JONES!" and I recognize who it is, I angrily turn around "WHAT?, xander" I say but smile a little, because people are here. Xander is my Beta and my best friend but still stupid, he looks at both of them and smiles when his eyes get to Aliya, then i growl angrily. He turns around facing me then he scratches his neck looking nervous, he has done something wrong.
"What did you do?"I ask suspiciously, "uhm- I kinda uhm-" he says stammering. "SPILL" I say angrily, "I kinda scratched your car a little, please don't kill me I'll get it fixed" he says while pouting. I am seriously angry then I look at Aliya and see her standing looking amused I just shake my head and say "whatever-" I didn't finish what I was saying, when xavier continued "I'll buy you- wait what?, what do you mean by whatever, I scratched your car and all you say is whatever" he asks looking confused , I just shrug and sit on my desk then Xavier smiles mischeviously, "or are you trying to impress this hot girl over here" he says pointing to Aliya. I give him one of my glares " out, you've stayed your welcome, that's if you were even welcomed before" I say muttering my last words, he still smiles and walks to her and flings his hand over her shoulder trying to poss me off"well hello, beautiful I'm Xavier, what's your name" he said with a wink I could literally feel my blood boiling but I tried to play calm knowing what xander was doing and gripped my table instead , she smiled back at him with, is it admiration I see in her eyes, "I'm Aliya nice to meet you xander" she said while removing his hands from her shoulder oh thank God , but didn't let go of his hand.Xander looked at me hoping to see me angry but I didn't show it, so he looked at Ian and said "hey uhm I didn't get your name", Ian looked a little angry but still said "it's Ian, Ian Ross" xander let's go of "Aliya and my grip on the table loosens " are you two dating, you actually make a nice couple.they both smile but "Aliya says "no we are best friends". Xander smiles and says "but not for too long". It looks like she's about to speak but Ian cuts in and says something that lets my wolve out "hopefully" She just smiles and I intervene.
"Hopefully, we are having an orientation so Xander bye"I say while walking to the door and opening it , xander smiles knowing what he has done and I just give him a look saying you are dead meat, he's about to walk out but then he turns back and looks at Aliya and Ian oh no he's going to say something stupid "well since you too aren't dating" he says looking at the both of them then his gaze falls on Aliya " Aliya guess what?" He says looking stupid, "uhm you like Ian" she says more like a question. "eeell no way I'm not gay I'm into girls, hot girls like you" he says one minute looking disgusted the other minute already flirting oh this idiot , "well I'm pretty sure I'm older than you" she says while shruggging . He looks at her "how old are you" he says eyeing her up and down , I'm tensing up a little bit so I grip the door handle she looks angry and walks towards him "don't you know you don't ask a woman her age its rude" she says fiercely while poking his chest he looks like he wants to piss in his pants I'm about to die of laughter but I'm also turned on, I like my women fierce. Xavier quickly turns around and touches my shoulder "she's all yours" then walks out the door I just shake my head " so where were we?"...
