"WHAT?!" Briella squeals with excitment after I told her about the second runin with Prince James.

"Shhhh keep your voice down," I say nervously looking around to see if anyone had heard.

Everyone was about to start their morning chore and I decided to quick tell her about last night. One of these days her reaction will have to start becoming calmer, right?

"It's like a fairytale happening in front of my eyes!" she replied dreamily.

"We've talked twice Briella!" I reply.

"Twice more than most of the other maids," she says with a grin.

With a sigh, I resond back, "I have to go see what my schedule is for the day in my room, I better get going."

With that, I quickly walk down the halls to my room to grab my schedule with all my chores for the day on it. The door was strangely slightly open, which I only assumed was because I forgot to shut it on the way out.

Without a second glance, I grab the schedule and head right back out the door. I grab the door handle on the way out and begin to close it when all of a sudden I feel a sticky substance run down my back and over my face.

I reach up and feel my hair drenched and stuck together with... maple syrup? Are you kidding me!? This is going to take years to come out!

Jemma! She did this!

Did she overhear Briella and I talking about last night? No, she wouldn't have had enough time to set this up. This was still her payback for the Prince smiling at me and not her.

Ugh! I quickly jumped into the shower and quickly tried to wash as much out without knotting all my hair up. When the shower was done, my hair clearly wasn't clean and still felt crusty. Deciding it was as good as I was going to get for now, I throw my hair into a bun and rush to the kitchen to get started on the dishes I'm already late for.

So far this day is showing to be easily one of the worst at the castles yet. I mean, maple syrup in the hair? What us with Jemma and her pranks on others peoples hair? This is getting pretty immature of her to do just because she thinks I'm stealing the prince from her.

Bursting through the kitchen doors angrily, I immediately start cleaning dishes without looking up.

"Why so late Gorgeous?" a familiar voice belonging to Carter remarks.

"None of your business!" I snap back at him.

"Woah!" Cater replies holding his hands up. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today."

I take a deep breath and immediately feel bad. Just because Jemma ruined my day, doesn't mean I should ruin other people's by being rude. It would also just satisfy Jemma knowing that she got to me. I set down the dishes I was furiously scrubbing and turn to Carter and admit, "I'm sorry... I haven't been having the best day."

"It happens Gorgeous," Carter responds with a shrug. "But I'm going to make it better!"

"How?" I ask.

"I'm going to take you out on an adventure tonight. Or I guess you could call it a date if you really wanted to," Carter says while raising his eyebrows and giving his signature smirk.

"And where are we venturing off to?" I question deciding to ignore his last statement.

"You'll have to see, just meet me right here after your night chore, okay?" he responds.

"Okay," I reply.

"It's a date then," Cater says walking out the door with a wink before I could respond to his statement.
