8. Lost

•Sierra•
Ben kept dancing and ran into Gil, the son Gaston, "Hey man, I know you." He said trying to figure out who had just run into him.
"Nope and I don't know you either," Ben said trying to follow our tips, "sure you do, come on man. Really? Okay I'll give you a hint, my dad is quick, slick, and his neck is incredibly thick! Oh you're King Ben! And you're Jay, Evie, Carlos, and Sierra, hey guys!" He shouted after us after we walked away quickly. "Uma's gonna love this!" He laughed running away in the opposite direction.

As we were walking towards our old hang out Jay stopped to pick up a rock so we could open the door and threw it at the flying rocks sign.
"Wish me luck," Ben said looking back at us.
"All the way up," Jay replied to him as he started up the stairs,
"Good luck," Evie said after him.

*Ben*
I walked up the long stairway and got all the way to the top to hear the sounds of a spray paint can.
I looked around as I made my way closer to the source of the seeing the iconic Long Live Evil that Mal always paints and Revenge along with many other things. I found her spray painting a new picture on a big wall, "Atleast it's not me with horns and a pitchfork," I said causing her to turn around quickly.

"Ben" was all she could say as I attempted to get closer but she stopped me.
"Mal I'm so sorry about our fight, it was all my fault. Please come home," I begged and held my ring out to her, the same ring that she had left in Auradon when she left me.
"Ben, I am home," she said as she got down from the boxes that were stacked so that she could reach higher up on the wall.
"Well I brought the limo. It's a pretty sweet ride" I tried to convince her to come back.
"I don't fit in Ben, I really gave it my best shot. And if you think that I could change I think you're wrong" she replied sadly.
"We can all change, I'll skip school, have more fun, I'll blow off some of my responsibilities-" she cut me off.
"No, no see! I'm such a terrible influence. It's only a matter of time before I do something so messed up that not only does the kingdom turn on me but they turn on you too!" She voiced out of frustration.
"Don't quit us Mal, the people love you. I love you, don't you love me?" I asked desperately waiting for her answer.
She admired my ring before putting it back into my palm, "I had to take myself out of the picture because it's what's best for you and what's best for Auradon."
"Mal no please" I pleaded her
"I can't do this" she said meeting my gaze for the first time.
"You should do Ben, Ben please go please leave," she begged as I finally gave in and turned around to leave I saw her looking almost as heart broken as I was.
I walked back down the stairway rather quickly, and Evie asked "So... where's Mal?"
I felt hurt knowing that she has stayed up there instead of agreeing to return to Auradon, "she's uh- she's not coming back." I stated sadly as I moved past her.

•Sierra•
"What? I'll talk to her" Evie said as she walked over the mic that was placed next to the door. "M? Mal it's Evie, let me just talk to you for a second. Mal come on." Evie pleaded needing to talk to her.
"Go away!" She shouted back
"Let's give her a couple hours to cool off," Jay said to Evie.
"Guys! Where's Ben?" I asked noticing he was longer standing next to Carlos.
"Ben? Ben!" Evie shouted looking for an answer. "Ben don't scare us like that," she said as someone who clearly wasn't Ben walked towards us. "Don't scare you? That's my specialty," Harry said smirking at us.
"What did you do with Ben?!" Jay asked angrily
"Oh you see we nicked him, if you want to see him again have Mal come to the Chip shop tonight... alone," he specified as he pointed at us, "Uma wants a little visit, awe Jay seems like you've lost your touch," he baited before Evie held him back allowing Harry to strut off.

We went upstairs to tell Mal what happened to Ben. Her response was as expected, completely upset with us bringing him along.
"This would've never happened if you hadn't brought him with you in the first place! What were you thinking?!" She questioned upset at the fact that we had lost her boyfriend to the hands of Uma.
"He gonna come with or without us, we just wanted to protect him," I spoke up trying to explain our reasoning.
"Yeah and we completely blew it guys!" Carlos stated in a frustrated tone
"Okay so what are we gonna do?" Jay asked looking for ideas
"We... are not doing anything, this is between Uma and me. And she's a punk so guess what, now I have to go get him!" Mal explained as she walked over from the ledge.
"Woah Mal you're still gonna have to go through Harry Hook and his warf rats
"You're gonna need us" Jay stated
"Uma said to come alone" Mal said blankly
"Mal come on" I tried to reason but to no avail.
"She said to come alone. I know one thing, I'm not going anywhere and neither are you Sierra." Carlos said as he sat on the couch in Mal's loft.
Jay sighed, "We'll be here when you get back," we all gave up on convincing Mal because we know that she's extremely stubborn. We all watched her walk down the stairs and out of the loft.
