Nicole's P.O.V

I woke up feeling everything around me shaking and jolted up looking around.

My hands were tied together and I was in the back of a truck, we were approaching a tunnel so I jumped out hoping the driver didn't notice.

I ignored the pain and went to the side hoping they didn't catch me jumping out.

What the hell is going on!?

24 hours (and 11 years) ago

I groaned shutting the noisy alarm clock off and did my morning routine.

I ate breakfast with my parents giving them a hug and kiss goodbye and drove car to school where I had a normal day and came home did homework sleep and had dinner of course.

Present

I groaned in pain, how do they do this in movies!?

I walked in the opposite direction of the truck and came across a gas station thankfully is was still in the morning so I had a full day ahead of me.

I entered and saw peaches and headed to them, they were my favourite fruit.

"Peaches" I mumbled feeling a slight headache.

"Everytime we meet peaches are involved" he chuckled.

What was that?

I shrugged it off and headed to the cashier.

"Excuse me miss" I got her attention it was a kind looking old lady "which town am I in?" I politely asked "Ravenswood dear" she replied.

How did I get to Ravenswood?

"May I borrow a phone?" I asked my voice sounded a bit strange to me like I aged or something. "Sure" she took up the landline and placed it on the counter I then remembered my hands were tied.

"Do you happen to have a knife" I asked gesturing to my tied hands and she cut me loose heading into the next room to give me some privacy.

I called my parents numbers but it said their numbers were no longer in use, probably changed it yesterday.

I tried my best friends' numbers but some strange people answer and when I asked for them they said they didn't know them.

I racked my brain for someone to call searching my pockets but they were empty.

Emergency contact *********** I pressed the save button

Strange I don't know that number but who cares it was in my phone so I'm calling it before I forget it.

"What!?" An aggressive sounding man answered the phone and I jumped in fright already scared.

"I-i-i'm sorry" I stuttered "I just in lost and this number came to me, it was stupid to call" I mumbled excuses.

It was silent "Nicole? Nicole is that you?" The same man voice more calm but worried, guess I didn't recognize the voice.

"Yes, um I'm at a gas station in Ravenswood near a big tunnel" I said feeling like I should trust this man who I think I knew but didn't recognize the voice.

"Ok baby don't move I'm on my way" he said and I heard shuffling, a jingle and a door slam shut followed by another.

"Please stay on the phone with me I  can't lose you again" he said his voice cracking.

Kinda confused now but feeling the need to console him I answered "I'm here, just hurry up I don't know if they're coming back" I ended up sounding scared instead of calm.

"Alright" we both stayed silent me in awkward and him in focus.
