Chapter 6: Headaches And Coincidences

3rd Person P.O.V

Howard was wondering where on earth his lovely wife went to as he knew she had lied about going to Diane's place.

Then imagine his surprise when he hears the girl he met 6 years ago decides on now to go back to the club with the exact same person she came with last time.

The bouncers there have good memory so when he asked about her the morning after they knew exactly who he wanted but the bartender wasn't sure who exactly it was.

So there he sat worrying about his wife when his phone goes off "What?" He questions whoever is on the other line.

"Boss the girl you told us to keep and eye out for, we think she's here, she looks different from before but came with the same friend so we assume it's her" his employee Jack notifies him.

Howard contemplates the idea for a while before muttering a "fuck it" before responding to Jack "I'm on my way don't act suspicious just keep and eye on them.

He could use a good distraction since his wife went off to God knows where but he trusted her and her best friend who is a skilled fighter to protect her.

Meanwhile Dinny had seen her best friend faint and hurriedly lift her rushing through the exit of the club and Jack wondered if he should follow the pair or not due to the fact that his employer was married happily and the ladies seemed close.

Jack had not noticed that Nicole fainted as he was on the phone with Howard so he had no clue that was why Diane was carrying Nicole out.

He calls his boss again to ask if he should follow them out but is met with his car instead speedily pulling up to the driveway and he already regrets not following them.

Dinny had already hailed a taxi and waited until they reach the hospital before calling Howard knowing that Nicole wouldn't want him finding out, she'll just stretch the truth a little.

"Where are they?" He questions barely stopping the car properly and Jack starts to worry about his job.

He pulls the phone away from his ear hanging up and that's when Howard notices that he was calling him "sir they exited through the back; I was just calling to ask if I should follow them" he barely got the 'them' out to see his boss speeding pass him out the exit.

A group of curses left Howard's mouth and he noticed just how badly he wanted to see that woman he only knew as Annette and her birthday.

He headed back inside to hear his phone go off as soon as he reach his bouncer "Yea" he knew it was Diane as she always uses a specific ringtone on his phone no matter how many times he took it off magically after he even sees Diane it's back to the same so he had left it.

"Don't be mad" was the first thing he hears and immediately regrets not grilling his wife about her whereabouts.

"What happened?" He demands and Diane cringed at his tone knowing she was on the receiving end of this instead of her luckily unconscious best friend.

"She wanted to try and push herself to remember" she starts but mumbles the last part "and fainted" Howard didn't catch it though.

"Repeat" he demands "Niclolefainted" Diane says in one breath knowing he would catch it, not like she said a whole sentence.

"What!?" He shouts ready to stress the importance of not pushing his wife to remember but Diane cuts him off.

"Its the usual hospital bye" the phone cuts off and Diane sighs in relief then begins to pace waiting for the news on her best friend.
