Sometimes I feel a little cheated by life. It was like everyone in my life succeeded when I failed, and that sure seemed to happen a lot.
I burrowed my face into the pillow I had been sleeping on, and groaned. It doesn't really matter anyways, I still had my friendship with Connie going for me.
"Friendship"
I sighed, rolling over on my back and staring at the ceiling. It was a Saturday, right? Another sigh. I must've stared for another two or three minutes before sitting up and grabbing my phone to talk to Connie.
mar1na: hey, what's up?
connie!! is typing...
Sometimes I would think about Connie and what she was doing while I sat in class.
Sleepless: Oh hey! I just woke up, let me grab something real quick
mar1na: sure!
I groaned once again, closing my eyes and covering my face.
"I'm a weirdo..." I sang quietly to myself.
"What I am doing here..." I continued, stopping suddenly and jumping a little when I heard the familiar ding! of a new message.
connie!!: Back! Sorry, had to clean my face up ( ' ▽ ' )ﾉ
connie!!: How's it going?
mar1na: ggood! how bout you?
connie!!: Kind of tired from getting only 4 hours of sleep last night, but otherwise pretty good!
mar1na: 4 hours?
mar1na: that doesn't sound so ace, mate
connie!!: I appreciate the concern, but you really shouldn't have to worry!!
connie!!: Also, ace? Are you Australian? If so that's super cool! (/^▽^)/
mar1na: oh yeah
mar1na: I'm true blue!
connie!!: owo Now I feel bad about sharing barley anything about myself to you
mar1na: what? don't you worry about it, ya barley know anything about me either!
connie!!: Well then...
connie!!: Let's get to know each other!Why don't we both ask each other a few questions?
mar1na: sounds good to me, mind if you go first?
connie!!: Sure thing! How about your clothing style?
mar1na: oh, good question there
mar1na: I guess I'm not really a preppy kind of person, ya know?
mar1na: never really bothered with fashion and that kinda stuff, so my closet consists of old hoodies and band t-shirts
connie!!: Bands??
mar1na: oh right!
mar1na: I guess I like most american bands, gorillaz being one
connie!!: Did you say Gorillaz???
connie!!: They are my favorite! It's so good to meet another fan on here lol

mar1na: REALLY??
mar1na: ththats cool!
mar1na: suppose it's my turn to ask a question now though
connie!!: Oh yeah, sorry for asking two questions lol, got a bit carried away!
mar1na: no worries
mar1na: anyways, you got any hobbies other than medical school?
connie!!: Oh yeah, most are lame but oh well
connie!!: Art, gardening, pretty basic and boring stuff lol!
mar1na: lame? nah mate
mar1na: I like plants n stuff too!
mar1na: you know, good ol plants n stuff! any in particular you like?
connie!!: I guess any plant that I can keep in my house is a winner for me
connie!!: Also roses are my favorite flower! I know it's really cliche but I've always liked them a lot
mar1na: not cliche at all! no worries, roses are pretty beautiful flowers after all.
connie!!: I'm glad you agree ! it's really nice to be able to chat with you as a friend (*≧▽≦)
mar1na: a friend?
connie!!: Yeah, you're really nice!
mar1na: oh uh
mar1na: right on mate!
mar1na: sounds good n all. I like being your friend too!
connie!!: Wanna talk some more later tonight maybe?
mar1na: ssounds good! cya connie
connie!!: Cya! ~ヾ(＾∇＾)
I turned my phone off and closed my eyes tiredly.
"Friends"
Like that was going to get me anywhere.
