Second interview, this is with Leigh, pronounced lee, the writer of the amazing, friendship for dummies and currenly number 1 on teen fiction, the baby project! she was amazing to talk to and is an amazing writer, so check her page out!:)

Okay, so how did you find Wattpad?

I found the app on my phone and downloaded it just for reading. Then eventually I made an account, although I didn't post any stories until a few months later. I'm so glad I did, though :-)

When did you first start writing?

I'm not sure exactly. I've been writing for so long, it's kind of like a routine thing for me now. I feel weird if I don't, haha. I think I was about 7 when I wrote my first story (20 pages long!), but I never used to finish them. And my writing was pitiful... looking back at what I wrote when I was younger I just cringe :P

Who/what inspires you to write?

I hate this question because I really don't know, lol. Like I said, it's really a routine thing for me now. But I guess my fans are a big motivation to carry on, especially when I read all amazing comments. It definitely makes getting over writer's block easier :-)

Speaking of writer's block, what helps you get over it?

I find that I get two different types of writer's block. One of them is when I'm bored of the story I'm writing, and I just want to do something else. When that happens, I just open a blank word document and write anything I want for 10-15 mins. It usually turns out as a scene that has no point to it whatsoever, but it gets it out of my system. And when I return to my original story I usually find it's better. If it's the type of writer's block where I just hate everything I write, the only thing that works is taking a break for a day or two. That helps me to get fresh ideas.

Do you have a favourite writer on wattpad?

I have many! But probably my absolute favourite is XxSkater2Girl16xX, just because she's the genius behind APR/ASR. And I love her other ones too. But there are so many other writers on here that I love as well (Fallzswimmer, ToastedBagels and madisonmallory to name a few)

Who's your favourite outside wattpad author?

Sarah Dessen, definitely. I've read about 5 of her books so far, and I love them all. She is a genius when it comes to teen fiction. My mission is to read all of her books, haha.

What did you do when you first noticed your fans start to go up?

Um, there wasn't a point when they went up suddenly, really. It was all kind of steady, so there was never a point when I was like "wow!". But sometimes I do kind of wonder how I got to this amount, haha. When I first got onto the homepage, though, I was so excited. I freaked out just a little :')

Georgie in friendship for dummies has to be one of my favourite characters in a story, ever! Did you have someone you based her on or was she just a creation?

Aw, that's nice to hear, actually, because a lot of people don't like her. Nope, she's completely fictional. I very rarely base anything from my stories on real life, because nothing that interesting happens to me, haha. I suppose there's a little bit of me in her though. How she fares in arguments (i.e. not very well) and how she always seems to embarrass herself is definitely similar to me!

Right, enough about wattpad, is it okay if we finish this off with some questions about you for your fans?:)

Sure :-)

So, as you said that you don't have a favourite colour, what about favourite fruit?

Yeah, I'm weird with the colour thing, haha. And errm... strawberry!

Favourite book? Can be wattpad or paperback.

The Hunger Games, definitely. That book is genius. And of course, I'm hopelessly in love with Peeta because he is perfect.

Favourite TV Show

Um... I like a lot of programmes. Friends is probably my favourite, but I also like Pretty Little Liars, 90210 and The Middle.

If there was one place that you could go right now, where would it be?

Wherever Josh Hutcherson is.
