18. Tension

Iida was announced class president after the security breach, and you couldn't help but feel happy for him. The boy was meant to be class president.

After school, Katsuki waited for you outside the school gates, per usual.

"Oi, Shitty girl." Katsuki broke the silence.

"Yeah?"

"Forget about the damned evacuation drill. That never happened." The boy said with a slight blush.

You had many questions about it, but agreed to forget about it for the time being. "Sure."

You and Katsuki walked home together after school like you had every other day. The only difference was that, instead of a lively conversation, it was dead silent between you two.

You arrived at your apartment and waved. "See you tomorrow."

He mumbled back. "Yeah, shitty girl."

The next morning, Katsuki waited for you outside your apartment. You two greeted each other, and then walked to school in complete silence. You tried to ignore how awkward it was, and instead brought your attention over onto the interesting quirks of pedestrians passing by.

Arriving at school, you ditched Bakugou and instantly went to talk to Ashido.

"Is something wrong, (L/n)-chan?" Ashido asked, after a bit of small talk.

"Nothing's wrong!" You exclaimed, perhaps a little too enthusiastically. "Why do you ask?"

"You're usually with Bakugou, yet you didn't say a word to him at all." The girl pointed out with a slight bit of concern.

"There's just a lot of tension between us." You grimaced. "It's really awkward."

"That sucks. Do you know why, though?" Mina asked sympathetically. "I would hate to see your friendship go down the drain."

"Well," you started. "It's, um, an interesting story." You were referring to the awkward situation from the security breach.

Mina's eyes lightened up. "Ooh, GOSSIP! You know you have to tell me now."

You sighed. There certainly was nothing more annoying than a persistent Mina. "Okay, um, during the security breach, Katsuki-san may have tried to kiss me."

Mina squealed, jumping up and down. "No way! My OTP is so close to sailing!"

"But he told me to forget about it when we were walking home after school." You said, making your friend's shoulders drop. "So it became a little awkward."

"That stubborn flamethrower asshole. He's too prideful to admit he's totally whipped for you." Mina grumbled. "I'm gonna knock some sense into him."

"Wh-whipped?! Wait, Ashido-san, no!" You protested, defending Bakugou in the process.

But before Mina could walk over to Katsuki, Aizawa walked in. He talked about the importance of rescuing civilians, and practicing such by going on a fieldtrip somewhere.

Excited chatter was all you heard as you waited to board the bus. You sat beside Sato and Midoriya; which made Bakugou, who was sitting beside Jirou, grunt slightly.

Everyone began talking about their quirks, advantages and disadvantages. "You wanna talk strong and cool? That'd be Todoroki and Bakugou."

You joined in the conversation by saying, "But Katsuki-san's so...explosive. He'd be too scary to be popular."

"WHAT'D YOU SAY, SHITTY GIRL?!" He screamed as Jirou winced beside him, obviously disturbed.

You snickered at his reaction. "That proves my point."

"We've only started socializing and already you've made it abundantly clear to us the unpleasantness of your steam turd of a personality." Denki said, teasing Bakugou more.

"YEAH, OKAY MR.VOCABULARY. HOW ABOUT I POUND YOU?" Katsuki screamed back as you laughed.

"Damn, Katsuki-san, I never thought you were into that..." You smirked. "Guess that's out of the closet now."

"SHUT IT, SHITTY SPHERES!"

Yaoyorozu spoke up. "What a vulgar conversation."

"I think it's fun!" Ochaco only laughed.

"I don't think your mouth could get any fouler, Bakugou."

Aizawa sighed and interrupted the chaos that was happening inside the bus. "We're here. Look sharp, now..."

He then mumbled quietly, "I don't ever get paid enough for this..."

Midoriya, who was sitting beside you, screamed in excitement. "WOAH! IS THIS UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN?!"

A familiar voice spoke up. "There's the flood zone, landslide zone, conflagration zone, etc. Every disaster and accident you can possibly imagine. I built this facility by myself. I call it...
