Jitendra watched Indra enter the room. He liked to to think he had the upper hand, with both the prince and the kingdom within his grasp, but now he was not so sure. He knew something was up, but was not sure. But today, after Rudra informed him about the secret movements in the Banerjee family, he knew he had to come. He hoped his offer would keep the Banerjee's happy and off his scent for a while. Let's just hope Rudra does not do anything to vpchange the status quo.
Indra sat down and invited the older man to take a seat.
Jitendra began without preamble.
'I wanted to gift my chain of hotels to you and my daughter as a pre-wedding gift. I hope you will not break the old ma's heart by refusing'
Indra hid a small smile. Jitendra did not know Indra is already a majority share holder in their chain of hotels.
'Uncle, now we are all family. We kids need you guidance and support to take this great business corporation further. Please don't worry about such formalities.whatever belongs to Usha is mine'
Jitendra signed with satisfaction. He did not intend to relinquish control at all. It was just a gesture, a bait. He liked it that he had the fish hooked nice and firm.
Avik entered the room with some other elders, and they all started discussing business. Indra itched to go back, but he refused to believe the reason Jitendra Just gave him. There is more to this visit than meets the eye.
Suddenly his phone beeped. This is phone only Raghu uses. Indra flipped it out casually and looked at the screen.
There was a single message.
'The foxes are sniffing near the rabbit hole. The hole is nearly empty. But I am taking the doll deeper to reach you know where.'
Indra's stomach clenched. It could only mean Rudra. Have they been watching them?He cursed his stupidity and carelessness.
'What if they get Isha', was the thought that suffocated him for a moment. But then he forced himself to calm down. If it's Rudra, then he had the perfect cure.
He excused himself and got out. 10 minutes later Anubha brought the tea tray in. Tea was served and the conversation continued. Within a few minutes, Jitendra dropped his tea-cup and collapsed. His body Gaurav's outside the room faced the same fate. Outside the house, Jitendra's driver and secretary, did not know how they fell asleep. All of them were then shifted to an obscure location.
Ishaan looked on with a doubtful expression.
'Are you sure this is the way'
Indra shrugged. His face had turned into stone.
'He brought it upon himself. He should have controlled Rudra'
'Now what?'
'If Rudra calls with any information, tell him his uncle has fallen ill, and is in intensive care. Ask him to return immediately'
'And if he has Isha'
'Tell him we don't care, he can do what he wants with her'
Ishaan let out a whistle.
'Don't you want me to come with you?'
'I need someone up here to hold the fort. I have to do this in secret. I am taking three of my trusted men. The rest should now head for Nitin's house and the island. We have clean up so that Rudra has no backup'
Ishaan hugged Indra.
'All the best'
