The bright sun rays fell on Ragini's face and disturbed her sleep. She turned to the other side and was shocked to find Lakshya sleeping peacefully, her eyes widened and she was about to scream when realization dawned on her. She laughed at her fate, she was now sharing a bed with the man who was supposed to be a her brother-in-law. She looked at Lakshya, he seemed tensed but in very deep sleep. Sighing, she stretched her arms, she was uncomfortable last night, she has never shared a bed with a man before and even though Lakshya was very careful not to cross the divider they had made with pillows it was difficult for Ragini to sleep.

"I wonder how newly wed couples share a bed, god they do so much more than just share a bed." Ragini thought.

"Ragini not all couples do all of that on the first night." someone whispered next to her. She jumped but relaxed seeing Lakshya trying to control his laugh. She blushed, she needs to control her thoughts. She shyly looked away making Laksh laugh even harder.

"Laksh stop laughing its not funny im very serious." Ragini whined.

"Sorry Ragini, its just your so innocent I didn't even know you knew what coupes do in the night." Laksh laughed.

"Laksh I have studied biology in school you know." Ragini rolled her eyes.

"Okay okay i'm sorry you go and get changed Ill wait for you and we can go downstairs together so your not uncomfortable." Lakshya said. Ragini smiled and nodded. She got her suitcase and took out a pink and green saree. It was simple and elegant, perfect for her first day. Her mum and Dad let her wear whatever she wanted but because of her Dadi she would always wear modest clothing but she had never worn a saree before and she had no idea how to wear it. Ragini bit her lips nervously, what will she do now? Laksh turned around and saw Ragini standing there looking around.

"Ragini what's wrong I told you to got get changed not to stare at your clothes." Laksh teased. Ragini rolled her eyes.

"Laksh I have no idea how to wear a saree." Ragini replied.

"So why are you wearing one then, wear whatever you are comfortable in." Laksh said.

"Laksh but what will your parents think of me."

"I'll tell them that your my wife and I gave you the permission to wear whatever you would wear normally, your my wife not a puppet, you have your own goal and ambitions and I want to be able to help you achieve them." Laksh said. Tears rolled down Ragini's eyes after hearing Laksh's words, he had managed to touch her heart again.

"Thank you Laksh but I really want to wear this saree just for today." Ragini asked

"Okay just today if you want I'll call Pari bhabi or Uttara to come and help you." Ragini smiled, Laksh was definitely helping her overcome all the difficulties that she thought she would face. He was doing all the things a girl would want her husband to do but the nagging feeling of him being her would be brother-in-law until yesterday made her feel uneasy. When he left the room she went to the bathroom and did all her necessities. She sat on the bed, lost in her thoughts and didn't hear the door clicking shut.

"Ragini how was your night? Did Laksh let you sleep or not?" Pari teased. Ragini turned 10 shades of red at the thought.

"Bhabi please it's nothing like you think." Ragini whispered shyly. Pari laughed and took the saree out of her hand. She looked at it and then at Ragini.

"Ragini you don't have to wear a saree, maa or papa won't force you to wear traditional clothes even I don't wear a saree." Pari said

"I know bhabi but I'll wear it only today as it's my first day." Ragini replied. Pari nodded in understanding. Slowly Pari helped Ragini wear the saree, she explained all the steps and talked and laughed with her. Ragini felt free while talking to Pari she was very understanding and supportive.

"Ragini I know the circumstances in which you and Laksh got married and I also know it must be weird for both of you but try your hardest as Laksh's bhabi I know that he will take of you so please give it a chance." Pari explained. Ragini smiled, she felt like she had received an older sister, Swara was older than her but Ragini was always the mature one out of both of them. She suddenly felt a pang in her heart, she completely forgot about Swara and he hadn't called either. How was Swara? Had she woken up?She must hate Ragini now, she must think so bad about her little sister. Ragini's  head started spinning.#

"Ragini are you okay? the saree is done look in the mirror you look so beautiful." Pari said

"Thank you bhabi." Pari smiled in response and held Ragini's shoulders and took her downstairs. Ragini's heart was racing, and her hands were clammy, she would have to face everyone now. Soon he would be back with Swara as well, god only knew what disgusting plan was forming in his head. When they came to the stairs, all heads turned towards her, she looked at the floor, she didn't want to meet anyone's gaze. Laksh came to her and held his hand out. Ragini smiled and took it gratefully, Laksh was the only person she was really comfortable with and she knew she would be by her side. She was sure of it.

"You look beautiful." he whispered in her ears. Ragini blushed.

"Thank you, so do you." she replied

"What I look beautiful?" he asked. She let out a quiet giggle.

"No handsome." she laughed. Laksh smiled and helped her go down the last few steps. Ragini finally had the courage to look up, only to meet Maa's smiling face.

"Ragini beta you look beautiful but you don't have to wear a saree you can wear anything you want." She caressed her head.

"Maa it's my first day I want to wear it." Ap smiled and nodded. Ragini took her blessings.

"Jiji, whatever you say but I think a daughter-in-law looks best in a saree." Sujata interrupted. Ragini couldn't help but roll her eyes at the hypocritical thinking of her, her own daughter wore jeans and dresses.

"Chachi, our Uttara wears anything she wants, a persons clothes don't define their personality and Ragini is MY wife and I want her to wear what she wants." Laksh announced putting an emphasis on the word My. Ragini's heart fluttered when he said my wife.
Why does my heartbeat increase when he is near me or says I'm his wife? Am I starting to develop feelings for my sisters would be husband?
