"I'm Jisung Park," he introduces himself. His voice is deep and flows like water. He puts a large hand out for me to shake. I stand up and use my small hand to put in his.
"Bang Yuna," I say and shake his hand. His skin is smooth and milky. He seems almost perfect. One thing I notice as our hands release from each others grips, are our heights. He seems to tower over me. But it's nice and protective, rather than ominous and looming.
"I hope we can have a good year living here," he smiles. His teeth and a little bit of his gums show, creating a cute heart shape for his mouth.
"Me too," I reply.
"Oh just wondering," he starts. "Are you going to the freshers party tonight? It's something school arranges." I didn't know this was a thing. I nod my head not knowing whether or not I'll actually go. "Cool, maybe we can head down together?" He smiles cutely at the end.
"Maybe..." I respond. I'd like to, I'm just worried girls will ask me about him if they want to get with him.
"See you later then," he turns around, leaving my door open, and heads into his room. I breathe out a tone of air I didn't even realise I was holding. Why am I so nervous?
I finish packing and decide I need to get lunch. I wonder if Jisung will want to get some with me. I go across the hall and knock on his door, having not heard him leave.
"Come in," he says. I open the door, but then immediately close it again. Why is he shirtless? I shouldn't be complaining but I am. "Oh sorry. I forgot. You can come in now." I open the door once more hoping he's telling to truth. Luckily he is. "I got too warm." He says apologetically, rubbing the back of his head.
"I was wondering if you want to get lunch together," I ask. His face brightens up. He smile. I look away deciding it's a stupid question. "Nevermind, it was a dumb-"
"I'd love to," he interrupts. "It's good to get to know each other, especially as we'll be living together for a year." I nod my head.
"I'll see you in 5 minutes," I smile and close his door. I quickly shove on a light coat of mascara and change into a comfy but slightly more stylish top. I look in my mirror pleased with my outfit. Who knew I could pull of striped wide leg trousers and a black top? Not me, that's for sure.
"Long time, no see," Jisung greets me in a joking way as I meet him down stairs. "This way my lady." He opens the door for me.
"Thank you kind sir," I respond and walk through the door. Somehow around this guy, I feel more confident. I look up at the red roses above me and smile.
"So what were you thinking lunch wise?" Jisung questions. I quickly process ideas through my head, and come to a conclusion based off my scenario.
"I was thinking we could head into the main town area," I suggest. "I don't want the other freshmen to assume anything about the two of us." I laugh and he laughs along with me.
"Don't worry, I usually go for taller women," he chuckles. I turn my nose up at him and look away, making sure to cross my arms over my stomach. I don't know why, but I feel like I've known this guy for years. "Hey, I said usually." He is kind of mocking my height, I mean he must be at least 6ft, and I'm standing at a measly 5ft3.
"So how many girls have you been out with to cause you to know what sort of people you usually go for?" I ask, maybe not the best thing to ask someone after you meet them for the first time, but whatever.
"Oh, you don't want to know," he smirks.
"Oh a Playboy I see," I chuckle as the two of us head down the rather empty road. He shakes his head.
