"I was looking for you everywhere yesterday, what happened? Did you have fun?"
Charlie was standing next to the closet while he was putting on his uniform. I was laying on my bed, reading one of the school books that had arrived just a few minutes ago.
I didn't know for sure if I wanted to tell him about the whole thing that happened between Billy and I. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it..
Without looking up from my book, I responded "It was great." With a small smile.
She was great.
"I'm glad that you had a nice time." He said while he grabbed his bag filled with books from his desk and pointed with his thumb behind him, towards the door.
"I'm going to the library, you want to come along and see it? It's the most outstanding place in the whole school if you ask me."
Charlie stated that so easily, like a library wasn't already the most beautiful place in the world.
The quiet, calm and warm atmosphere that place gives you when you walk in was one of the most pleasant feelings. All the books filled with each their own individual story. It's like a room filled with life, human lives, written on paper. It's seems like such a basic small and boring building compared to all the worlds that are inside of the books that are in it.
I laid my book down on my bed, grabbed my jacket and followed Charlie out of the room.

The moment Charlie and I walked into the library I got goosebumps. It was must bigger then I had expected. The windows were massive and the sun shone through it onto the wooden floor and the bookshelves, which gave the room a cozy feeling. On the sides there were two big stairs that led to another floor with even more books and places to sit and read. I felt like I stepped into my own dream place.
Anne must be in love with the library here.
She loved books even more than I did, mostly the words. I remembered back in Avonlea, how passionate she always was about it. How dedicated she would read the words out loud in class, or about anything that had to do with books really. Even though most of our classmates didn't find it as enjoyable most of the time, I admired that about her. Anne Shirley Cuthbert surely is one passionate individual.
"I have to go find some books in particular for a project. You can just walk around and go wherever you want. I'll look for you when I'm done." Charlie patted me on the back and then walked towards an old woman that sat behind a desk, who I think was the owner of the library.
I didn't think twice and quickly went to one of the stairs that led to the other floor.
As I was completely captured by the beauty of the library, something even more beautiful came into the picture.
Anne took a book out of the shelf and started reading it while looking through the pages. The light of the sun that came through the huge windows made her hair glow with a golden touch. I didn't know what to do in that position, should I walk up to her? Maybe I should ask her why she left yesterday night all of sudden, she seemed in a hurry. Maybe something had happend.
"Hey, Anne"
Anne jumped a little and turned around in one motion. She obviously didn't knew I was standing there for some time, admiring her beauty. She quickly looked up from her book and her eyes grew. Finally she had her braids back in again, which brought me back to so many memories, some of them good but also some lesser great ones.
