Chapter 2, Elizabeth's POV

The girls and I went back to my place after the movie to continue the sleepover. We ended up sleeping on my step-dad's air mattress, talking about the boys till one o'clock in the morning. Then Chloe started to get tired so we let her sleep, while going into a different room to continue talking.

"Okay, seriously though, Ashton is definitely the cutest," I said, sitting on the living room couch.

"No way! Luke is," Cass protested.

"Nope, Michael is," Mary said.

"Obviously, we all have a different opinion on who is cutest," I said.

"Obviously," Cass mocked.

"I like how you called Ashton 'curly bandana' earlier," Mary then said.

I laughed. "Hey, not my fault he had curly hair and a blue bandana on."

"Did you notice that when you laughed at the theater, he turned and smiled at you like he was head over heels in love with you?" Cass asked.

"No, but he did?" I asked, getting a little too excited.

"Ohh, yeah!" Cass replied. Mary nodded.

I couldn't help but feel excited. Because I've seen him around town for a while, and to finally be in the same place at the same time tonight was amazing. And also the fact that I finally got the nerve to talk to him and his friends, kinda shocked me. But I did it, and look where it got us. All four a date, and possibly boy friend. I hope boy friend becomes true, because I really do have a crush on Ashton.

"You do realize that he's like a musician though, right?" Mary asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"I mean, he's a musician, and normally musicians are notorious for breaking hearts in two," she replied.

"Well, Michael is too, missy," I said back.

"True..." she said, defeated by her own words.

"Well, I guess we'll find out if they'll break our hearts," Cass spoke up.

"Yep, guess so," Mary said.

I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing. I checked the name, and it was Ashton. I quickly answered before he could hang up.

"Hello?" I said, it sounding more like a question.

"Hi, Elizabeth!" Ashton said back with glee.

"Hi, Ashton," I said, laughing at his enthusiasm.

"So, I was wondering, do you think that maybe I could take you out for dinner tonight? Just me and you this time," he said.

My smile seemed to grow, though that was probably impossible. "I would love that! What time were you thinking?" I asked.

"Probably around seven"?

"Sounds great! I can't wait!" I said with excitement.

"Me either!" he said back. I could tell he was smiling.

"I'll see you then?" I asked.

"See you then," he said back.

"Okie dokie, bye, Ash," I said.

"Bye, El."

He called me El! No one has ever called me El. It's always Eli, or Lizzie. But no one has ever said El!

I woke everyone up quickly to tell them the news.

"Guys! Ashton called and said he wanted to take me to dinner tonight, it just me and him! So, we're going at seven!" I practically yelled.
