A small village was off in the mountains, an enclosed area in Osaka, Japan. There were the tiniest bit of rumors spreading around of a strong blader growing up in said village, and still living there. When you heard that news, you smiled and laughed, telling your friends that was ridiculous. Even still, they continued to pester you. Ah, that strong blader was you indeed. There was hardly any television, no video games, no phones. Just some books, hard work, and lots of beyblade.

You devoted a lot of your time to beyblade, because you simply loved it. Teaching your friends how to play, and the young kids that you knew the parents of. It was fun, watching yourself improve, and watching others improve. You had no idea who'd spread rumors about you, supposedly some sort of legendary blader.

You were the best in the village, big deal. The place was small, everyone knew everyone. You'd never attended a tournament, or anything of the sort. So the fact people actually thought that well of you - was very surprising.

"Got'cha again!" With a bright grin, you propped your hands on your hips. This had been the tenth time you'd beaten this kid. "You're getting better though, I'm proud of you!"

"You think so?" The young girl muttered, smiling at her beyblade that'd just burst. "Thank you!"

"No problem, cupcake." With a giggle, you ruffled her hair. The moment was cut short, due to the young girl's older sister scampering over to you both, breathless. Curious, you waited for her to speak up.

"[Y/n]! It's bad. There's a blader, he's looking for you." She bent over, hands on her knees and eyes wide. "He's just beaten everyone, you have to go!"

"What? What would anyone want to come here for?" You huffed to yourself, nodding to the worried girls before rushing off to the front of the village. You scampered along the dirt road for a while before the view of three boys on the ground, mostly likely beaten. Across from them looked to be the mystery blader, here for nothing but trouble. You eyed him up and down for a moment.

A black and red mask covered his face, grey-white hair falling over his shoulders, and a rather flashy outfit for a run down place like this. A few feet behind him was another boy, dark green hair, bright eyes, ripped clothes, and an obvious scar across the bridge of his nose. This one looked much more suited to be here, but the other one. . .

"I'm here for the strongest blader, now, would that be you?" The white haired one took a few steps closer to you, to which you took one step back.

"Depends. What do you want?" You narrowed your eyes. Did you have to protect your village? So early? He lifted his bey into view, you'd never seen one like that before.

"This, is Legend Spryzen. I'm here to challenge you to a battle." He was very straight forward that was, until a small smirk turned up at his lips. "Short and sweet." Ah, there it was, the insult that amused him.

"Alright, I'll battle you." With a curt nod, you gestured him to follow. With as much confidence and courage that you could muster, you continued down the road until you reached the 'training area'. Really, this was just an excuse as a playing area for beyblade, but you had a dish, so it was enough. You'd learned to settle for things very well.
