Daigo was viewed as a cold, serious person. People saw him as very reserved, calm, and cool. Of course, the first time he interacted with Valt, wasn't exactly pleasant, you saw past all that. The past was the past, right? And he did apologize after all. While Daigo gave off some scary aura, his little brother, was quite different. Like any little kid, he wanted to have fun, which was purity you wish you still had. Except school ruined it, damn homework. . .

Four days a week, you made it your life sworn duty, to visit precious Ryota. Three of those days, it was right after school and the beyclub; both you and Daigo would go along to see the little one. You saw Ryota like your little brother, almost just as much as Daigo did. Unlike the raven haired red bandana boy - you showed Ryota tond of affection, lots of hugs and hand holding, because he deserved it.

You may have gotten over attached, very, over attached. Daigo noticed more than you did, and, as of now, you were both having a small talk about it outside. He wasn't upset, just, concerned?

". . . So, I've been thinking lately." Daigo shoved his hands into his pockets.

You were oblivious.

"It's about Ryota."

Immediately, you lifted a hand to your heart, just in case if you got a heart attack. Before you could say anything, he spoke up again.

"You like him a lot, don't you? You treat him like he was your brother, which is fine but-! It's kind of sad, when I see you like that. It feels like something is wrong." Looking away, he brushed a hand through his hair.

Your eyebrows furrowed. . . What was he talking about? Sure, you held Ryota a lot, played with him a lot, bought him tons of gifts, kissed his cheek, and promised to be with him forever; every single day. Then it hit you.

"I-I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry-"

"Hey, hey. I said it was fine- don't worry about it. I'm just asking if you're okay." Daigo turned completely to face you, and lifted his hands in defense, which he then placed on your shoulders for just a moment. "Are you okay?" One hand reached down to your hand, and he stared at your fingers.

"Yeah." You responded a little late, which made you sound like you were lying through your teeth, and, you were.

"[y/n]."

You might as well tell him now.

"Ryota, reminds me of someone really special to me." You leaned your back against the wall and took a deep breath. "I'd never mentioned this because I wanted to forget it all. And to forget it all, I started to cling to both you and Ryota, selfishly. . ." A small smile managed it's way on your features. "I had a little brother, too. Then my parents divorced, and I never saw him again - until this one time. My mother took me to the hospital, only to see him already passed. He died in a car crash." Everything flooded out, everything except tears. You'd already cried those out, haven't you? It was so silent, you could hear a pin drop.

"I'm so sorry. I had no idea." Daigo softened his voice. You knew he was empathetic, probably the most caring person in your entire friend group.

"So!" Your voice raised, as well as your head. "I started to pretend that Ryota was my little brother. I really do wish that he actually was my young brother sometimes, but I know it's impossible." Smile still evident. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you Daigo. We can tell Ryota sometime as well, I think he deserves to know."

"Yeah, will do. Everything's gonna be okay, I'll make sure of it. Thanks for telling me."

"Oh, you're welcome!"

After that day, you hadn't visited Ryota for a whole week. You were focused on school, and always told Daigo to say hello to the little one every time. Daigo was pretty upset, to have you refuse going with him to the hospital. You did promise to visit Ryota after it was all over, but you were so crammed with work, it was driving you nuts. Even during beyclub meetings, or play time; as you like to say, you were scribbling in your notebook. The monologue would always go like this:

"[y/n]! Wanna battle? Let's battle!" Valt would say, full of energy.

"Leave her alone, she's a little busy." Daigo would come to your rescue.

"I'll play in a bit, let me just finish this-" Your response would be simple.

"No, finish everything." Shu would barge in, as if he was your teacher and mother in one.

This went on for the whole week, until Monday came, and you were free from all hell that was assignments, projects, homework and tests. Sometimes you wondered why your teachers were so much more strict than everyone else's. As you promised though, you were going to visit Ryota as a special surprise. Although, to your confusion, there were red rose petals scattered on the floor in front of Ryota's room. With furrowed brows, you quietly pushed the door open.

"Hellooooo?" You sung, peeking your head inside.

"And here comes the bride!" One puppet popped out from behind the bed.

"Wow! She's gorgeous!" There was the other one.

"What are you doing down there kiddo?" You lifted a hand to stifle a giggle.

"We're hosting your wedding! Oh, and here's the groom!" You guessed Daigo taught him the word 'groom'.

"Gosh! I wonder if he's handsome." You decided to play a long, and clapped your hands together.

"The handsomest in the land!" Ryota finally stood up, then crawled onto the bed.

"[y/n]?" You knew that voice very well. With an uncontrollable smile, you turned around to see the most ridiculous, and precious thing in the world. "Would you do me the honor of being my wife?" Daigo was on one knee, he knew exactly how to do this. The, he cleared his throat. "In the future." Ah, maybe not exactly.

There was a little present box in his hand, and sitting on some grass, was a rose golden princess crown ring. It wasn't real gold of course, but it sure was gorgeous. Money didn't matter, it was beautiful, everything was beautiful, it felt like an actual proposal and wedding in one. You hadn't noticed you were tearing up, and just staring at the boy with a huge smile. After snapping out of your daydreams, you gave him your well awaited answer.

"Yes! Yes, oh my God, yes! Of course!" You bounced in your place.

After letting out a sigh of relief, Daigo smiled. Carefully he picked the ring out of it's box, and slipped it into your ring finger.

"Perfect." It fit you well.

"Now, you must kiss the bride!" Ryota piped up again.

Both you and Daigo flushed, as he quickly stood up and brushed himself off.

"Ryota, I told you not to do that." He chided the younger male.

"Hey, don't talk to him like that." You pitched in, earning a small 'sorry' from the spiky haired boy. "Now hurry up before I change my mind." With a pout, your arms crossed.

"F-fine, fine," Daigo rubbed at the back of his neck, before trailing his eyes up to you. You waited patiently. . .

"Now Ryota really is your brother."

"Huh-?"

Nope, you couldn't say anything else. He planted a soft, sweet kiss on your lips. The contract had been sealed. You three were practically family now.
