Valt Aoi [ The Little Mermaid ]

[ a/n; wow i have been gone for long, huh. one shots will be shorter, but that means there will be lots more. <3 ]

For as long as you lived, you had always been so fond of nature. The forests, the mountains, the lakes, and so on. Every scenery would make your eyes glitter, and that'd probably be because you'd grown up in the Shakadera Dojo. Your training always consisted on your own, and in the wilderness. You'd a special spot saved all for yourself and it's animals, even Ukyo has a hard time finding you the first time. The place was in the middle of near nowhere, surrounded by mountains and trees. The staircase trek to get up here was absolutely relentless, but living here had made it feel like a walk in the park. . .

"Hey! I'm back!" Xander's voice boomed through the entire dojo, alerting everyone in a mile radius.

"You don't have to shout." Ukyo responded very curtly.

Behind Xander was a set of very unfamiliar faces, this being Rantaro, Wakiya, Daigo, Ken, Toko and Nika. This entire party had showed up out of worry for their dear friend Shu. The white haired male had up and left without saying a damn thing, but luckily Xander was here to accidentally blow his cover.

Yugo and Ukyo were present but. . . Where was [Y/n]?

"Where did [Y/n] run off to? I thought she knew we were having visitors." The gentle giant frowned to himself.

"She went off to the waterfalls, maybe she lost track of time." Ukyo gestured with a thumb.

"Now that you mention it. . ." Rantaro squinted his eyes, head counting everyone in the group. "Where the hell did Valt go!?"

And where indeed did the little bluenette get off to? Frankly put, he got lost in the mountains, and was dragging himself through to find some sign of human life.

"So hungry. . ." The poor kid whined, trudging past trees, and tiredly coming to a halt. He'd been wandering aimlessly for so long, it was about time he took a break. Valt blinked his brown eyes, rubbing at them childishly. Once he'd caught his senses, he immediately gasped.

He'd discovered a gorgeous spring waterfall. The water was crystal clear, beautiful flowers and leaves adorning it. The sound of the waterfall rushing made the experience far more serene, but there was one particular trait that had Valt completely enamored. An absolutely stunning young girl under the waterfall, her hands clasped together in prayer, as she nestled her eyes shut. She probably hadn't noticed Valt yet, she was far too concentrated.

His brown eyes were glittering. He dropped his bag, thrown off his bomber jacket, slipped off his shoes and socks. Whatever training you were doing, Valt was interested. Though, as soon as he'd stepped a foot into the water, your eyes snapped open, it was just then you could sense him.

"O-oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to bother you!" Very, very embarrassed, Valt bowed his head at least three times.

You blinked your eyes, stepping out from under the falls, your [f/c] gi was soaked, as well as your shimmering [h/c].

"That's alright, but. . . Who are you?" You'd calmly approached him, and finally Valt stopped yammering apologies. "How did you find this place?"

"Uhm. . . I was with my friends, and got lost." He let out a breathy, nervous laugh. "Do you know where the Shakadera Dojo is? My friend Xander lives there."

"Oh! You must be our visitor! I completely forgot!" A little flustered, you piped up, lifting a hand to your forehead. "We should head ba-"

"No!" The blue haired male suddenly cut you short. "No, no, we don't have to go back now!"

For a moment, you'd paused, just staring at him.

"What were you doing standing under that waterfall?" He asked.

"It's part of my training." Your response was quite simple, and at this, Valt grinned brightly.

"Wow! You're like a real mermaid! Can you teach me how to do it too?" Eyes brimming with excitement, he reached over and grabbed onto your hands.

"A-a mermaid?"

"Yeah! You looked so pretty! Like you were a mermaid of this spring!"

Your cheeks immediately burnt up.

Needless to say, you and Valt had spent the entire day here together, forgetting about everyone at the dojo who was worried sick.
