There was a massive splash as I dove into the sea, the water hitting me aggressively. Swimming in the ocean was something else in itself, something not many experienced and if they did, it wasn't with Bill, who seemed to make this experience all the more beautiful. Another splash accompanied me as he dove in, floating up to the surface rather quickly. It was scenic as ever, a heartthrob like Bill under the sun, the glittery blue ocean around us and his boat waiting to take us wherever we wanted. I'd been living a dream for the last 24 hours and I didn't want it to end.

"Do you ever wish you could just float forever?" I sighed, shutting my eyes. "It's so peaceful."

"The threat of drowning keeps me on my toes." He chuckled, swimming over to me.

"You're good at swimming," I admitted. Bill's smirk had the tinge of smugness as he put his arms around me in the water. "Do you intend to drown me with this grip?"

"Of course not," He frowned, his accent ringing in my ears. "But there is some things I'd like to do..." Bill kissed me lightly before kissing my neck, his soft lips touching the crevice of my neck. It was electrifying every time, never getting old.

"Bill!" I shoved him.

"What?" He laughed, licking his lips and leaning towards me, his lips hovering by my ear. "I want to stay here forever with you, just here."

"In the ocean?" I chuckled. He shook his head,

"You know what I meant, Nancy."

"Well, as much as I'd like to stay, we both know that you can't keep me here forever." I responded. I put my legs around his waist to hold onto -- it pulled him just a little closer but he remained further enough away to prevent any shenanigans on his part.

"Can't I?" He spoke, asking the question rhetorically. I sighed and let go of him, squirming out of his arms and climbing back onto the boat, despite being soaking wet from the ocean.

"I mean, you could try.." I whispered. Bill kissed me, smiling through it. "But," I began, pulling away from him. "I need to go back to the flat. I've been on the boat for more than twenty four hours... If Angelique hasn't already called the police, she will soon. That, and I need a change of clothes."

"You do a good job of stealing mine." Bill jested, climbing back up on the boat in pursuit of me. He furrowed his eyebrows a little before nodding in agreement. "They say you should always leave them wanting more."

"Isn't that what I've done with you?" I teased, giving him a light peck.

"I'm under your spell, Nancy, and I have no intention of being released soon." He told me before kissing me, pushing me back a little. I smiled before breaking it off and hopping over to the engine. "Just one more?"

"Keeping you on your toes, dear. I'll be back, I promise."

"I hope so..." He trailed off, wrapping his arms around my waist. I could feel his hot breath on my neck. I leaned my head back onto his shoulder and looked up to him, kissing him lightly. "I don't think I could survive without you."

I waved goodbye to Bill as I walked down the port, his eyes burning into my back when I turned away. If I could've, I would have sailed off with him and not returned for months, but I didn't have that option. I had a life here, friends, a job. I couldn't just drop them and sail off with him, no matter how much I wanted to. Upon my return to the flat, I felt extremely sheepish and a little nervous to enter. As soon as Angelique heard the front door slam shut she came running, clearly fretting but also filled with some excitement, knowing I would tell her all the details.

"And where do you think you've been?" She folded her arms. She remained stern for a minute before bursting into laughter and hugging me, filled with questions. "How was it? What did you do? What did he do? Is he good in bed-"

"Angelique, I will answer all of your questions. I need to sit down first, thank you." I interrupted, walking into my bedroom.

"I'm surprised you can sit down."

"You're vulgar." I muttered. She rolled her eyes and prompted me to speak. "We were on his boat -- and no that isn't a euphemism -- and it was nice."

"Is that all I'm getting?" She hit my arm lightly. I paused but, from the intensity of Angelique's expression and my lack of will, gave in.

"I slept with him." I admitted. "And I enjoyed it."

Angelique squealed. "Is that why you missed your shift? Rolling around in the sheets with a heartthrob to make you swoon!" She let out a sigh and threw herself back on the bed, patting her brow.

"Essentially." I acknowledged, feeling a little embarrassed. I could feel the pink of my skin flaring up, making me look as if I were a tomato, accompanying my red hair. "I really like him Angelique,"

"Does this mean you're off the market?" She pouted.

"Not officially," I responded. "But I really did enjoy it. Though, I would've enjoyed it more if you hadn't rang on the Motorola!"

"Antonia insisted," She apologised. "But I did have something important to tell you before you so rudely hung up."

"Which is?" I prompted her. Angelique's expression became a little more serious and I felt the need to brace myself for whatever she was going to say.

"Jamie turned up last night, looking for you."

A knot rose up in my stomach, twisting my nerves and making my anxiety rise. Jamie, a cheating ex, was an utter knob but he was my first love. He knew how to pull on my heart strings and make me run back to him; it was all a game to him, but I had Bill now. I hadn't known him long but he was sweet, kind, things which Jamie wasn't.

"I assume you slammed the door in his face." I said with a tone of expectancy. Angelique nodded, continuing her story,

"He insisted that he wait for you so we said he could come back tomorrow night and see if you'd come back yet."

"Did you tell him where I was?" I asked, eyeing her. Angelique shook her head, much to my relief. "Then you won't tell him where I am and I'll go back to Bill's boat. It's not like Jamie can follow me to the middle of the ocean."

"Nancy, he's.."

"What?"

"He's changed. I could tell." She spoke, squeezing my hand. "You were always saying how you hoped you could give things another go with him."

"No." I snapped. "I have met this amazing man who enjoys my company, thinks I'm beautiful and funny and I think we have a real connection. I'm not just going to give Bill up and drop anything to go running back to the utter wanker Jamie is."

Angelique nodded. "Good for you." She seemed to be supportive, now, and I knew she was just trying her best to be a good friend. For that, I was grateful. "But the thing is,"

"What is it now?" I groaned, lying back on the bed.

"We told him to come for six and.. It's six." Angelique informed me. She was right by all accounts and, as if she was psychic, the doorbell rang at that exact moment.

"Shit."
