Twenty One

Nii-san, Sakura, Sasuke and I were making our way to our first part of the Chuunin Exams. It was a bit too crowded for my liking but I just shrugged it off. The main thing I was trying to do was avoid two people.

Kiba and Gaara.

Why would I be avoiding Kiba? Well it's because I feel guilty about that...kiss with Gaara. I totally regret it even though it wasn't my fault.

I'm avoiding Gaara because he has been stalking me the past few days. He could be watching me right now with that little eyeball technique and I wouldn't even know it. One mornig I woke up to him staring at me and I think that's taking the stalker thing a little too far.

Sasuke...we've had our ups and downs the past few days. We talk but it always ends up with him scowling because of Gaara and Kiba showing up. And if your wondering, yes, he's still trying to 'win me back'. Honestly, I'm not mad at him anymore.

I'm just holding it against him for fun.

As we went up the first flight of stairs, we heard a commotion leading on the second floor. I saw Lee and Ten Ten being kicked backwards by these two guys blocking the entrance. I sweatdropped.

Does anyone else notice the genjutsu?

"We are only doing you a favor. The Chuunin Exams are tough, and most likely you all won't be coming back in one piece." The one on the right sneered. I rolled my eyes at his stupid cover up. It's obvious that it's the guards at the front gates.

"Kotetsu, Izumo, cut out the act and let us through. I'm not in the mood for games right now.."

"Ah, Miyuki, you saw through our genjutsu...but-" Kotetsu jumped from his spot and aimed a kick towards me. Just as I was about to defend myself Sasuke jumped in. Luckily, Lee was there in time to stop them by catching both of their ankles.

The look on both of their faces: Disbelief.

"Fighting is not the answer! We must save our energy for the Exams!" Lee shouted. Ten Ten and Neji came into view.

"I thought we agreed on not bringing too much attention to ourselves." Neji said, completely annoyed by Lee's actions.

"G-Gomenasai! I just had to stop them."

"Well thanks for your generosity Lee-kun. I appreciate it." I smiled at him. The look he was giving me wasn't good. That look...Oh Miyuki stop attracting boys!

I heard Sasuke growl and glare at Lee but Lee was giving me hearts in his eyes. He was also giving Sakura the hearts. The tension in the air was building by the second, so I decided to break it. But I was interrupted.

"Those eyebrows...are hideous!" Sakura screamed.

"Yeah...so...umm..can we go now?" I muttered, feeling uneasy under Lee's stare. Lee's a sweet guy but those caterpillars on his face makes me terrified. For once I agreed with Sakura.

As we turned to leave, we stopped at a familiar voice, whom I recognized as Hyuuga Neji. I sighed. What NOW?!

"You," he pointed at Sasuke," What's your name?" Sasuke smirked.

"You want a name, then you should say your's first." I facepalmed. Was he trying to be cool when he said that? Neji completely ignored him.

"You're one of the rookies right? How old are you?"

"I'm not obliged to answer your questions." Neji scowled at Sasuke's immaturity. I mean seriously, he doesn't have to act cocky. It's just a question!

At that moment Lee, got in a fighting stance. For what reason, I don't know. But I totally zoned out after Sasuke started talking about how great the Uchiha's were.
