Chapter 21

~~~~~~Nikki's POV~~~~~~

I woke up to be constricted again by Toby. I slowly slip myself from his arms and head to the shower. I didn't even change my blood covered clothes yet and I smell like shit. When I got out, Toby is still asleep, and snoring. I laughed in my mind and got dressed into a black butterfly long sleeve shirt, dark blue jeans, and my converse. I let my straight hair down and put back with a black headband.

I turned to still see Toby asleep. Dayum, we didn't do that much today why is he so tired? I just shrugged and went out the door. I head downstairs to find Ben, Silver,Red, and Sonic playing video games. That's weird. Where's everyone else?

"Guys where are the others?" I asked.

"In bed. We're just early risers, that's all." I nodded and head to the kitchen to cook. Thank goodness for my cooking skills, it makes it easier for me to cook the best food for the guys and pancakes for Toby. I felt someone's arms wrapped around me

"Hmmmm. I smell pancakes." Toby sniffed.

"They're not going to be pancakes anymore if you let go of me." I giggled. He unwrapped his arms and sat at the table. I transferred the pancakes to a plate and set it in front of him. He started to eat like a pig as I pour a glass of milk for him.

"Toby chew." I laughed. "Your gonna choke on that."

"Sorry it just taste so good!" I laughed.

"And chew before you talk." He just rolled his eyes and continued eating. I made some pancakes for myself and sat and ate with him. Today is Sunday so it's not really a busy day, plus it's a day off for the proxies. Almost everyone except me are out so I decide to play some games from Ben's. I kept scrolling until I came upon a kareoke game. I looked around to be sure no one is here and clicked it.

I scroll through the songs until I came upon Still In Love by Jason Chen. That song reminds me of when Toby left and I still waited for him. Yes I did have boyfriends but I never took them seriously because I want to be serious with Toby if I ever met him again. The music began to play and I put on the headset with a microphone attached to it.

"I feel the same way, you did about me yesterday
To promise to never leave me alone

And didn't even seem to find the shore"

All the lyrics in the song really reminds me how Toby left years ago. He promised that he'll never leave me alone, but he just left me without even telling me where he's going. I spent the years being alone and picked at and beaten to a pulp. I never enjoyed that. A tear slipped from my eyes as I continue to sing the whole song.

~~~~~~Toby's POV~~~~~~

I was already at the back door when I heard music and someone singing to it. The song kinda reminds me of something, something I want to remember but I can't. I quietly crept in to find Nikki on the couch singing. I could tell tears were falling from her face, I'm sure it reminds her of something sad. As the song ended I went behind her and wrapped my arms around her.

"Why did you leave me?" Her voice is really upset.

"I wanted to protect you. To keep you from ending up like me." I whispered.

"But you left without telling me why."

"If I did, you would be asking me to take you with me. I know your parents had been harming you and stuff but it's something I have to make a compromise on."

"I missed you since the day you left. I had no one to talk to."

"What about Jaina and those other people?"

"That was when I started to move on. I've given up on ever seeing you again. I though that if I don't, I'm just going to turn insane and kill myself." I tighted my grip on her.

"The song you were singing to... Was it about how you felt when I left?" She nodded.

"Every single word in it, relates to the situation." I let go of her and sat down next to her. I pulled her closer to me as she lay her head on my shoulder.

"The past is the past." I whispered. "Now I'm here. I will never leave you again. I promise." She began to calm down as I turned the console off and turned on the TV to MTV. We just sat there for hours until everyone was back.

*Few more hours later*

Nix went up to her room to take a nap, like what Dr. Smiley also said. Jack, Jeff, Ben, and the other guys were drinking out at the back.

"Hey Toby!" Jack called. "Wanna drink?"

"Sorry guys. I don't drink."

"Awwww come on. At least a little." I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Fine. I'll just have a shot or 2." I sat down with them and Jeff handed me a small cup. Man it taste bad, but at least it can shut them up. I lost track of how many I drank and kinda felt dizzy.

"Boys!" I could hear Nix's voice in concerned. "Why did you let him drink? You know I don't want him to be like Jeff!"

"Ouch Nix that hurts." Jeff said in exaggeration. She showed the middle finger to him and came over to me and put her hand on my forehead and cheeks.

"Can you stand?" I nodded and stood, but felt kinda off balance and had to lean on her a bit.

"Come on I'll take you inside." We head in and she let me sit on tbe couch.

"Just take a nap. It will usually go away in a few hours or so." She gave me a cup of warm water and head to the kitchen. She came back with a towel on her shoulder and a bowl filled with water.

"That is the last time I'll ever taste that." I murmured. She giggled a bit and placed the towel on my head.

"For now, you have to sleep." I nodded and closed my eyes.

~~~~~~Masky's POV~~~~~~

I head downstairs to find Toby on the couch as Nix puts a towel on his forhead. I looked at her confused.

"He took more than 2 shots." She said. I nodded and sat on the other couch across from them.

"Why exactly are you worried about him. Drinking in not that bad." She narrowed her eyes at me.

"Toby gets a bad fever the next day after he drinks. I've seen him drink when we were kids and believe me it's not that good." She stood up faced me with her arms crossed on her chest.

"So what do you need?" I was about to answer until Slendy's voice came out of nowhere.

"I have a job for you and- what happen to Toby?" Slendy looked at me and Nikki.

"He was drinking with the guys when he was forbidden to drink." She rolled her eyes.

"Well then I'll put Masky in Toby's place for now. I have a mission for you two then."

"Wait I thought we have a day off?" I asked.

"What's the mission? I'm dead bored around here and I have no plans." She said.

"You are to go to the city and kill at least 7 people. Nikki you know you are forbidden to use your powers so here's your axes back." He handed both of her axes back to her as she puts them to her sides.

"I'll go change then." She headed upstairs.

"Slendy why me?" I whined.

"Well your the only proxy available. Your brother is out on a date and well Toby is passed out." I sighed and see Nix coming back down the stairs in her killing clothes.

"So let's go?" She asked. I nodded and Slendy teleported us to an alley. We walked into the streets of the city.

"This is interesting." Nikki said as she stopped to look at something. I followed her gaze to a bunch of guys walking into the gap between the two buildings. We looked at each other and nodded.
