I spent the whole day laying in my own misery with the blankets over my matresses. The pillows were here and there, along with my limbs being sprawled out randomly. I was laying sideways on the bed, leaving my legs hanging off the side.
My eyes were glued to the dim, blank ceiling.
I had never spent my time so uselessly. Normally, by now, I'd be tracking down the soon-to-be victims and would be getting near either closing in, or stalking from a short distance.
Through the entire time of me laying around, all I could think about was what Alastor was doing and how I was missing out.
What was so special about him?
Why did he aggitate me so easily?!
Maybe it was a money related thing. Perhaps he really had no experience with these things and would fail miserably tonight.
I smiled slightly at the thought.
Maybe he'd get caught.
Maybe he'd fail at keeping hold on the victim, or even allow sound from them.
If anything, seeing how he acted, he'd probably fall for one of the mortals and ruin everything.
If so, we wouldn't see much more of him.
I stroked a black blanket between two of my fingers as my thoughts progressed.
'What was Oberon thinking?'
'Why did he come right after my freaking anniversary?'
'Why does everyone expect me to act bigger and mature...er?'
'Maybe Alastor died on his assignment....'
'Maybe I could kill him....'
There was a loud and urgent knock at the door.
"What do you want?!" I shouted.
"Oberon wishes to see you now."
I recognized the woman's voice from earlier. The one who "had tea" with my newest rival.
I grumbled and shut my eyes.
"Go away!" I called out.
"He says it's absolutely mandatory."
"And why should I listen to you? Alastor prbably put you up to this," I lay still, ignoring her words.
"And why do you say that?" She replied "innocently".
"Please, for the love of all things holy, SHUT UP!" I then grumbled "You're voice is so freaking painful."
It was quiet, but I still felt the need to grip the sides of my head.
"It has to do with your job..." she added.
"Oh yeah? What about it!? Sorry Mykino, but your fired. Better go back home now." I yelled sarcastically.
"It's a business offer. Please, Oberon just wishes to explain."
"I know what you're doing, and it's not going to work!" I sang and dramatically waved my hands in the air. "You know what, go ahead and tell Oberon to eat a bowl of dirt. Compliments of Mykino."
I snorted and rolled my eyes after dropping my arms back onto the bed.
Alastor was probably trying to lure me out and make a fool out of me in front of everyobdy else. He's stupid to think I'll fall for it if that was the case.
