Silvestre was ready to die; but Death had other ideas.

Bruised, scarred and with a heavy heart, she accepted Noirsk's words: she would live, but only because The Raven had given her permission and in dismay Silvestre admitted that Noirsk's offer had been a tempting way to escape the crippling guilt that now drowned her soul as her mind drifted in and out of a conscious state. Smeared on her hands was blood, who's blood?Silvestre was unsure, but the sensation sickened her. Salty tears stained her cheeks and as she opened her eyes for a moment she glanced the raining ash. She had stopped the fires, but her victory was bitter sweet and strained with exhaustion she eventually gave up on searching for Milo's figure. 'Moping over Elgido, who will forget you instantly'  Noirsk's words echoing forever in her mind.

Silvestre's brain was a flurry of memories, reliving her conversations with Milo, trying desperately to grasp onto anything that could keep her breathing steady and stop her quivering lips from crying out in anguish. Flickering images swam through her mind, igniting the little hope of happiness she had left.

'My name's Milo by the way!' ... 'I'll be sure to see you around Milo!'- the day they met.

'I believe this is yours'- the night of Silvestre's coming of age party, when under the blanket of stars, he had handed her her mothers quartz pendant.

'I didn't want to be anyone special' -  his confession by the waterfall.

'You couldn't ever let me down'

'If you care, I care. '

Succumbing to emotions, Silvestre let out a pitiful whimper, she allowed more tears to flood her eyes and she hadn't the energy to wipe them away.

Gradually, Silvestre became aware of familiar voices and firm arms lifted her from the hard earth,

"Silvestre? It's ok, don't rouse. Rest now, we're bringing you home." Reassured the fatherly voice, Silvestre identified as Almore.

Silvestre hadn't wanted to be rescued, but even the brave need to be looked after,

Haven't I done enough to deserve some peaceful sleep? Silvestre's mind argued, but Crystal was dead, Milo was gone and Noirsk was free... Silvestre's tortured sleep was anything but peaceful.
