in this chapter i'll be expanding on jaemin and jeno's personal lives. i still don't think there's enough backstory for them i guess.

jeno smiled. "are you still on your shift? should i come back later?"

jaemin shook his head. "i just got off. i wanna spend the rest of the day with you if that's okay?"

the thought of spending time with jaemin made jeno's eyes light up. "i'd love that."

jeno and jaemin ended spending all evening together. the sun was now setting and they were sat in a swing at a park in the city.

jaemin sighed. "jeno, can i ask you something?"

jeno looked at him and nodded.

"are you the same person you were in my dreams?"

again, jeno couldn't speak. would jaemin stop talking to him if he told him the truth? would he lose him right after he found him again?

jeno always had a rough life. when he was younger, his father was abusive and an alcoholic. his mother wasn't around much since she had to work all the time. he didn't want jaemin to know all of that.

jaemin took notice of the way jeno thought about his question. "i promise it won't change my opinion of you. i just really need to know."

jeno looked at him, smiling a little in relief. "i was. i was addicted to pills, and i saw you in my hallucinations."

this caused the other boy to scoot closer, enveloping jeno in a tight hug. "i promise now that i'm around, you won't need any of that."
