It was around the time 7:30 when I started getting ready. Chres got a call from Daniel to help out with the party, so he left about an hour ago. I was going to be riding with the girls to the party. Our plan was to stick together, but with a house party with probably about half the school there, there was no way we'd be able to stay together. Jacob offered to pick me up, but I decided it would be better if he could be surprised at what I had on. Chres didn't even know what I had on; before he left, last he saw was me doing my hair.
It was now 8:15, and I had heard a car honk outside my house. I grabbed my keys and walked out the front door, locking it behind me. When I got in Akira's car, the girls and I all complimented one another on our outfits. We looked better in them than we thought we did.
I was wearing a white tie T-Shirt with “MTV” in pink on the front. My nails were done in nude pink, French tip style, and my lips were glossed in bright pink. I straightened out my denim blue mini skirt and fixed my thigh high white socks. I made sure my pink and white Retro 3’s were in the best of shape tonight. My hair was curled lightly with a braid going across the back. My pink bow button stud earrings gleamed in sync with my pink heartbeat necklace. Like I mentioned before, I’m not a big fan of pink, but the girls found me something that fit me best, and I have to admit, what I had on wasn’t half bad.
Kayla had on Craig's favorite color rocking a red “Hipsta Please” cropped tank top and a pair of black denim shorts with black and red plaid pockets hanging out. She had on bow stud earrings like I did, except hers were red and a studded heart necklace as well. Her nails were painted red and a silver ring that read “Love” in cursive was wrapped around her right ring-finger. Kayla’s lips were glossed in a pink peach color that appeared red and her hair was laid wavy with falling curls. She was stomping her feet to the beat of the music in her black Pastry’s in Akira’s car.
Akira was killing her and Ray's favorite color wearing a purple long sleeved off shoulder top and cuffed denim shorts with a brown braided belt going through the loops. Her windows were rolled down, allowing her tight curled hair, also twisted around the back of her head. Akira was the only one out of all of us who wasn’t wearing tennis shoes; her toes and nails were the same purple as her top and matched nicely with her purple suede studded platform heels. The accessories were just as perfect; purple diamond stud earrings and a large square purple diamond ring. The purple ring settled on her right index finger and on her ring finger was her purity ring. She fiddled with the silver cross pendant around her neck as she drove and pursed her caramel colored glossed lips into a smile, enjoying the drive.
Deja was representing peace wearing a gray bra top that read “PEACE” on the front, slashed skinny jeans, and a cropped sleeveless denim vest. She had her nails done similar to mine and her lips were nude pink. Silver bangles jingled on her left wrist as she pushed her hair behind her ear, keeping it out of her face revealing her three star silver earrings. Deja flipped her curls out of the way so she could rearrange the chain on her silver “Peace” necklace correctly. She brushed any dirt off her gray Retro 3’s so they would be in perfect shape for the party.
We all got really hyped up in the car on the way there. I don't know why we were so pumped, but I guess we just wanted to leave a good impression. Once Akira pulled up, we saw tons of cars parked up front and even on the grass. The music was booming loud enough that I could've sworn I saw the windows of Daniel's house crack.
"All right," Akira began as she turned off her car, "are ya'll ready for this?"
