Aphmau was a young girl, only 16 with dark chocolate hair and deep golden-brown eyes rimmed with long lashes. She was known to be the happiest girl around always smiling and laughing, eyes always glistening with love and compassion, but today she wasnt all that happy.

"Aph sweetheart, please, I know youre upset but we needed to move for-"

"For your job I know, but it isnt fair I wanted to stay at my street with Katelyn and kawaii Chan "

The young girl said, cutting off her mother, sadness laced in her voice. She knew the move was only temporary and they would return in two years, but also knew she would miss her friends terribly.

"I know but you can always talk to them on the phone or over face time, and Okhasis isnt that bad of a place, oh and we get a big house absolutely stunning from what Ive seen, two floors, three bathrooms, five rooms, a dining area, lounge, library, large Kitching, a dance studio, 4 acres of land for a garden, indoor pool and cinema room. Its got everything sweetie.2

The girls mother said to her, peering back at her daughter through the mirror.

"cool but it still doesnt change the fact that Im going to be miserable for the next two years, and why the hell Is the house so big?" she questioned.

With a small smile the older woman answered.

"because it used to belong to a wealthy family who no longer live there, they just rent it out now or let people who move for their jobs stay there."

"why" her curiosity showing in her voice.

"not sure, I asked but they wouldn't say."

The rest of the car ride was silent no conversation being made. A few hours later the car stopped in front of a large house that had aphmau holding her breath in awe, {only one word to describe it} she thought{big}.

Aphmau ran in the house and up the stairs to choose a room, suddenly she felt as though she should walk to the end of the hall way and take a right, not knowing why the desire to do so was there she decided to follow her instinct and head down the hall. Sure, enough she stood face to face with a door that looked unlike any of the other door in the house, instead of being dark oak lined with a ruby red frame, it was stark white framed with obsidian black. On closer inspection aphmau could see that the door had a faint peacock painted on it in faded black paint, eyes painted a barely recognisable shade of blue, feathers dark shades of grey and navy blue. Now she was intrigued, sliding the door open she took in her surroundings, dark black curtains hung before the doors that led to the balcony, a large silver lined bed with a soft velvet duvet draped over the white blankets, a large wardrobe stood on the far side of the room, its dark colouring causing it to stand out with the pale contrast of the wall behind it, a vanity sat next to the bed on top of which lay a jewellery box, silver plated hair brush, a few bobby pins, ribbons, and a small key attached to a chain. The room she realised was large but spacious, not quite empty, just not quite full. It had a homey feel though and aphmau liked it. Trotting back down the stairs she saw her mother laying down the last moving box. The older woman spotted her and smiled.

"found a room yet?" she questioned seeing the smile on her daughters face.

"yeah I have" she replied smiling at her mother while picking up the boxes listed *aph* and walking back to her chosen room.

After laying the boxes down next to the wardrobe, she sat on the bed looking around her room for the next two years. {wardrobe in the corner, vanity by the bed, key hanging from the balconys door handle wait what?} she sat staring at the key, she could have sworn that the key was on the vanity last, shed seen it. standing the girl slowly walked to the key, she slid the chain from the handle inspecting it. Fairly average size, made of black iron, dark blue sapphires encrusted into the many swirled designs, rather old fashioned if you asked her, but beautiful non-the less. Deciding that the key had been there all the long she brushed off her confusion as tiredness and that she simply needed to sleep. Slowly trotting over to the bed, she lay on top of the sheets, key still in hand, and drifted off into her peaceful world of sleep.
