My grandma greets the guests "Hello Adam,hello Susan and this must be Randy." They all shake hands with my grandma then they turn to me and the man I guess which is Adam says
" So this must be Cleo?"
I nod and he shakes my hand I shake his hand in return. Susan just looks at me then says "She looks just like her mother." I perk up hearing her talk about my mother I never saw my mom or my dad.
My grandma sees the awkward silence and brings everyone to the dining hall, there was a long table with about 20 chairs. We all sat down there was a steaming plate of soup.
It smelled delicious. Susan began talking "Beth so we were wondering did you consider letting Cleo come with us?" I looked up at my grandma I never heard her real name,but then I decided to speak up. "What!" Susan looked at my grandma and said "You didn't tell her?"
My grandma looks at me then back at Susan,She sighs and looks back at me and says "Cleo your going to live with Susan and her family she'll explain everything to you, your leaving tomorrow." I looked at her and looked over at Susan , I didn't want to leave no matter how much I hated her I've lived her ever since I was 7 this place has been my home but I just nodded. Susan just smiled my grandma said "Ok lets eat and drink." I just had water but I noticed that Susan's family and my grandmother had red liquid but I didn't know what was in there but I didn't ask.
I saw Randy looking at me and I quickly put my head down but,I have to admit Randy was cute he had nice green eyes. Later on after everyone had left I asked my grandma "Why do I have to go with Susan's family?"
She didn't say anything so I just went to bed. I had changed into my Cupcake pj's I know it's childish and weird but I love cupcakes. When I woke up the next morning there was a note next to me it said, "Cleo,Susan will come pick you up so get your clothes packed and get downstairs."
I quickly got up and packed my clothes. Then I got dressed and went downstairs. And there was Susan I didn't see my grandma at all. Then Susan said "Let's go Cleo you will have fun at my house, trust me."
