    Nico woke up to the sound of loud banging in the hall next to his classroom. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, yawning as he did so. Nico looked over to his side to see his boyfriend gone.

SLAM

Panic rose in Nico's throat, he pushed the covers off of him and grabbed his wand off the nightstand. "Lumos." He said quickly, his voice sounded scratchy and panic filled.
Where was Will? What's that slamming??

SLAM

Nico jumped. He got up from the four-postered bed and hurriedly ran out of the bedroom, grabbing his sword in the case there was a monster in the castle. Nico didn't bother putting a shirt on as he scanned the classroom.

It seemed to be empty and Will-less.
Where is he?
Nico thought, his mind racing a mile a minute.

"Will?" Nico called out, staying still and straining his ears to listen to see if his boyfriend would call out to him.

Nothing.

Nico was worried, to say the least. He walked over to the classroom door that led out to the hall. He gripped the handle till his knuckles turned white. He had no idea why Will would leave Their bed or their room. It was odd.

Nico opened the door steadily. It creaked loudly as it slowly opened. The slamming had stopped, making the empty hall quiet. The only sound that was present was the small snoring coming from the paintings.

"Will?" Nico called out again, hoping, praying that he would get an answer.

Nothing...

"NICO!"

The shout came from every corner, every hall, every inch of the castle. Nico had no idea where it was coming from, but he knew it was Will.

Nico ran barefooted around the castle, calling his boyfriend's name. Probably waking everyone up in the process. Paintings yelled at screeched for him to stop yelling, but of course, that didn't stop him.

Eventually, the staff ran up to Nico to calm him down.

"Whats wrong Di Angelo?" McGonagall asked, grabbing Nico's shoulder, preventing him from moving any more. "Will! He's missing. I heard him scream.." Nico bit his lip, trying to calm down his breathing. He was a mess, shaking and breathing raggedly.

And of course, he didn't put a shirt on so his scars stood out against his pale skin. Over the years of Will taking care of Nico, his 'unhealthiness' of not eating well and using too much shadow travel had gotten better. Now his skin tone was no longer sickly pale.

Some of the teachers stared at the scars in confusion of how he got them, it made Nico uncomfortable. He was regretting not wearing a shirt.

"We'll find him, Nico. Just calm down." McGonagall said smoothly. Nico gulped. How was he supposed to calm down if his lover was missing in a castle with a potential murder goddess on the loose?

His shoulders didn't stop being tense even after McGonagall told him to calm down. He wasn't able to control his breathing. And he definitely didn't put his sword away.

He was terrified. Will was missing and the only adults in the school weren't sending out a search party or canceling classes yet.

They were still in the hallway, discussing quietly so Nico couldn't hear. It made Nico angrier. He was sent to the damn castle to protect them and all he got in return was secrets. Nico tapped his foot anxiously on the ground, waiting for any sign of Will to just come around.

McGonagall was the first to say something to Nico. "We're sending out the house elves and any other able-bodied creature to help look around the castle for Will. You should help too." Nico nodded, relieved that they were sending out a search party.

Nico sighed and leaned his head back on to the wall behind him. He was confused. One minute he and Will were sleeping peacefully after the boggart next minute Will was missing. Nico wanted to believe that the goddess had something to do with his disappearance. He was sure of it.

The yelling and gasps made Nico lift his head. The morning sun pooled in from the windows of the corridor. Was it already morning? It was a passing thought as hagrid carried a young man in his arms. The man looked bloody and beaten. Nico almost couldn't recognize him, not until he saw the blonde mop of hair on the man's head.
Nico knew that blonde hair and tan skin.

"Will!"

sorry it took so long to put a chapter up! School just started and I've been adding bits and pieces to this ever since it has. I'm trying to get used to my new schedule and new classes. It's really a handful! Luckily I've been making good choices and not staying up till 12am only to wake up at 5am.
