Chapter 13: Who Was My Mother?

     I went with Phantump to the courtyard. I asked if they had other Absol's here. He said not currently, but many years ago there was one. She was marked with our emblem. She was student when she was younger, after a few years she became a Master of Destruction, and seeing Absols are masters of disaster, it was no surprise. She started to teach Destruction spells. When the Arch Mage retired, he made the next Arch Mage. She quit though very young, and now Gardia is Arch Mage. I asked, How many years ago was when see quit. Around 7 years ago. I'm a little past 5. So it must have been when she met my Father.
     He asked why I asked. I said She was my Mother. He said That he was expecting us, but as a family and not just me. She wanted to give you some things from her past to all 3 of her kids. When you find you brother and sister give them their share. I asked, What did she leave. He said she left one thing per child and one for all of you. He said, The shared one is a book on all things Absols are capable of. Yours is Daedric Armor that she made in the Arcane Forge underneath the College.. A helmet and four boots, but they are beat up and may need repairs. Your sister was given her Mage Robes when she was a student. Your Brother was given a Moon necklace. She knew how he loved the moon. It Is enchanted to allow him to stay awake forever so he can look at it for as long as he wants.
     I took them all to give when I find them. Phantump said she also had a letter for you only. It said, Son as the oldest, when me and your Father go to Sovngarde, You must protect you family. You must be strong for us and for them. Protect them with your life like they would for you. I stayed with them at the College to learn everything my Mother did. Maybe more, because I must be ready for anything. Phantump took me to a room. He said it was my Mother's room as a student. I thanked him, and asked if he could teach me conjuration sometime he said yes and we could start tomorrow.
