Boom! I heard a boom go through the camp. My eyes bolted open.

"We're under attack!" I heard a voice ring throughout camp. I sat up quickly. I put on my blue jacket. I looked over my shoulder to see Lafayette still asleep.

"Laf!" I went over to him started to shake him.

"5 more minutes." he begged.

"Laf! We're under attack!" I screamed. I heard another boom.

"Mon Dieu!" He yelled while bolting out of bed. (my god)

I grabbed my gun and didn't look back to see if Laf was ready. I rushed to the trenches. I look to General Washington.

"Fire!"

I fire my musket. I reload it. Tear gun powder bag, pour it, and plop the musket ball in.

Tear, pour, plop, repeat.

Tear, pour, plop, repeat.

Tear, pour, plop, repeat.

I feel a heavy weight fall on me. I push it off to see that the person on my right got shot. I see medics rushing over to him to help him. They pick him up and carry him to the medic tent. I feel a stare to my left. I see Hamilton smiling at me. I smile back . I shoot my head out of the trench and fire my gun. I see a red coat fall. I shot him in the chest. I just killed a man. He might've had a family. A wife who loved him, kids who will have to grow up without their father. Something tells me to look to my right. I see John firing his gun. He is fighting for his freedom. I need to help these people. They don't deserve to be owned by my father. I reload my gun as fast as I can. There are casualties in every war, that doesn't mean it's not worth fighting.

We kept getting pushed back by the red coats. After 7 hours of fighting we had to retreat. I took a deep breath and wonder how I survived those 7 hours of Hell.

We all started to meet to see if we all made it. We all found each other. All of us but Lafayette. I started to panic!(at the disco) What if he was hurt, or worse?

"Let's go check to see if Laf is in the Med Tent." Herc told us. He must've noticed my nervous searching.

We walk into the med tent and get surrounded by a bustle of nurses.

"Is there a Marquis de Lafayette in here?" Laurens asked.

"Yes there is, follow me." She turned and started to walk away. We all looked at each other, then followed.

We started walking deeper in the tent. I prayed silently that he was okay. I looked to the others and saw that they looked worried too. I can trust these guys, but not with my secret, not yet anyways. (jeez, this sounds like a highschool vampire drama...)

After walking for a bit we saw Lafayette lying on a cot playing with his fingers from boredom.

"Hey!" I greeted while walking towards him. He looked up from fiddling with his fingers. He smiled at us.

"Mon Amies!" he laughed and reached his arms out to hug us.

"Laf!" Laurens started. "It's good to see you only have a bullet in your leg!"

I hadn't even noticed where he got hurt, but I was happy that he was okay.

"Oui"

We all laughed together and didn't know how much time had passed until we noticed it was way after dark.

"Well, we got to go to bed." Alex piped up.

"What?" Laurens said with disbelief. "You mean you're actually going to sleep?"

"Whatever." Hamilton said like the smol salty gremlin he was.

"Well, I'm tired." Herc started. " Ya get better now, ya here?"

Laf nodded in response as they all left.

"So how long are you in here Laf?" I ask him.

"3 days" he answered bleakly. (i nu thats really quick for a bullet but for story sake, just pretend. use ur ~imagination~)

"Hmm" I nodded in response. "Is there anything I can get you?"

"Water would be nice if you wouldn't mind." he told me

"If I did I wouldn't have asked you. Of course I'll get you water." I smiled as Laf chuckled. I then went to go get him water.
