Riley's POV

Me and Lucas have been married for 15 years. After 1 year of marriage we decided that we wanted to move to Texas to live away from our stressed city life in New York. Since that change of place I found out I was pregnant with a baby boy who we named Grant. Now 14 years later we have 3 children. Grant Friar is 14, Candice Friar is 10 and Jessica Friar is 6 and we love them so much.

It has been bad weather for a week now and I am starting to worry that a tornado will come. It's not uncommon, but that does not change the fact that it's not fun either. My fear becomes reality when I watch the news and they send out a warning that a tornado is coming tomorrow.

"Lucas dear!!" I say a little worried.

"Yes my love, what is it?" Lucas say with a concerned voice.

"A tornado is coming some time tomorrow do we have everything ready, down in the in case of tornado room?"  I say thoughtful.

"Yes Riley, calm down. You asked me to fill the room right after the last one." Lucas says with a sure tone.

"Okey." I say relieved.

Lucas walk up to me and give me a long and sweet kiss to calm me down, and I answer back immediately.

The next day

I wake up next to Lucas and the wind is really hard, the tornado is gonna come any time now. I wake up Lucas and tell him to to wake up Grant while I go and wake up Candice and Jessica and get them ready for the day that will come.

When they are up and dressed we have precisely enough time to eat breakfast together and brush our teeth before we have to go down to the safe shelter before the tornado comes to close.

"We made it just in time children, listen." I say relieved.

As we can hear the wind from the tornado shout outside.

I can see Jessica being afraid of the sound so I take her in for a big hug, and we stay in that position for a long time while Grant and Candice play with each other to pass the time.

We have to stay in the shelter for three days. But then it's over and we can come out and it's a beautiful day. This time the tornado didn't destroy so much so we don't have to repair so much.

But the most importent part is that we made it in time to the shelter so no one got hurt this time.
