Jacob's P.O.V
I grabbed onto Elsa's gentle hand as she led me out of the cave. I saw Grandpabbie touch my brothers head and I saw my parents smile. "Wait here okay?" Elsa said to me. I nodded slowly before looking at my feet again.
I'm very shy, and talking to a person I only just met, isn't my favourite thing to do. Elsa walked over to my parents and started talking to them. She looked and pointed at me a couple of times, but I decided not to get nervous.
A few minutes later, Elsa came walking back and lifted me up on to the back of her white horse. I wanted to go home with my parents, but I didn't want to make a fuss, so I kept quiet. Elsa's sister hopped on her horse and after waving goodbye to my parents and all the trolls, we were off!
"So how old are you, Jacob?" Elsa asked politely. When I hadn't answered after a few seconds, she turned around to face me trusting the horse to stay on the path. I held up six shaking fingers, as Elsa turned back around while nodding and smiling.
"What do you like to do?" Asked Elsa. I shrugged, hoping that she saw my shrug from the corner of her eye. But she didn't nod, so I assumed she hadn't seen it. She turned her head briefly to face me, and I shrugged again. She turned her head back giving up on making a conversation with me.
The sky started to rumble and the black clouds came above us. The horse whined when a raindrop fell on his nose, so we pulled over into shelter. Anna and her horse came after, and we all got off our horses and put on a raincoat. Elsa pulled out a big box of sandwiches, filled with ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and carrot. My eyes lit up.
Elsa offered me an overflowing sandwich and after I grabbed the sandwich I got out a little "thank you". Elsa smiled and got out a sandwich for herself and Anna. Before long we were back on the road. The horses did not enjoy getting soaked, but eventually we arrived at the palace.
