I woke up with a bad headache, so it took me a few minutes before I noticed my surroundings. This was neither my nor my friends home, it looked like some old basement. I was lying on the cold floor made of stone, behind me was a wooden stand with a hook on each side. What do you need this for?, I wondered. A grunt next to me made me realize that I wasn't alone. "Chris!", I crawled next to him, "Are you ok?" He slowly opened his eyes. "Yes, I've just got a bit of a hangover." "I think we all do", said a girl's voice. We looked in it's direction and recognized Elizabeth and Greg. "Where the hell are we?", asked Chris. Neither of us had an answer to that, so we decided to look around. In the back was a small chest with a flashlight inside. "Look, I found a flashlight!" "Guys, come upstairs!", shouted Elizabeth from above. "Coming!" When we arrived upstairs, she showed us an old looking note. "What does it say?", asked Greg. Elizabeth looked like she saw a ghost and when she read the note out loud I understood why. "Welcome to the game of life and death! To survive you have to repair five generators to be able to pull the levers on each of the two exits. If you leave through the doors you are in safety. There is a killer with you who wants to sacrifice you to the so called Entity. You can pull each other of the hook and heal them with a medkit found in chests. If there's only one person left and you already repaired three generators the last survivor can escape through the hatch. To communicate with each other hold one of the pearls behind the painting in your hand. Then everyone can hear what you are saying. The killer is called Shapeshifter so be careful who to trust..." A shiver was running down my spine. "Is this a joke?", meant Greg. "I don't know. Where have we gotten ourselves into?!", answered Chris. "How did this happen? We were on a normal party! I don't think we were drunk enough to wander into a place like this!", I was slowly panicking. While we were talking Elizabeth found the pearls and gave one to each one of us. "Let's see if this works. I'll go outside and then I'll try to talk to you." Shortly after she left the building, we could hear her voice and she told us that she could hear us. "Summer, Chris, you should work on the generator in this house, Greg and I will search for another one outside", she said when she came back. "Do you really think it's a good idea to split up?", I doubted. "Believe me, I also don't like this but it's the best strategy." "Ok." I didn't really like it but she was kind of right, because we will be able to repair the generators faster. We wished each other good luck before Elizabeth and Greg walked into the distance.
