A cold breeze woke me up. I turned around to look at Chris but he was gone. Worried, I got up a little too quickly causing me to get dizzy and fall back into the soft grass. It took a few minutes before my vision went clear again, that way I could see someone standing in the distance. "Chris?" As the man was coming towards me, I recognized his shining red eyes. My heart made a jump and I got up again. I still felt weak and tumbled more than I was actually running. Unfortunately there were no pallets that I could use to stun him, but then I remembered that I had a flashlight so I turned around mid-running and shine the light into his eyes. I continued to run but soon found myself cornered as I was running in an abandoned house. When I turned around a sudden pain in my left shoulder appeared which made me scream. He continued to walk towards me until there was only an inch between us.

Shapeshifter's point of view

It was the first time I regretted hurting someone. Why is this girl mixing up my feelings? I am a
cold-hearted killer! But the fear in her big eyes and her painful screams didn't give me the usual satisfaction. I put my hands against the wall next to her fragile body, trapping her. Being this close, I was able to hear her fast heartbeat and her heavy breathing. When I moved my right hand, she closed her eyes and turned her head, waiting for me to kill her. Instead I grabbed the handle of the knife and pulled it out of her shoulder making her groan of the pain. A generator blew up in the distance and I let her go. I didn't know why. She looked so beautiful and innocent, but Chris also seemed innocent before he shot me.

Summer's pov

I can't believe he let go of me! I would have been an easy pray, but he turned around and walked towards the messed up generator. But now I was both mentally and physically so exhausted that I sank down to the floor and started crying. Soon I could feel someone wrap their arms around me, which scared me at first but it wasn't the Shapeshifter, it was Elizabeth. "Hey, it's ok, I'll help you!", she whispered. I was shivering so much that she had to help me walk. When we arrived at an old shack, I layed down on the cold floor in one of the corners and tried to get a little bit of rest.

Shapeshifter's pov

I wanted to know more about Summer, so I made myself look like her boyfriend Chris and followed her and the other girl to the shack. After a little bit of time I entered it and saw her sleeping in a corner of the room. "Chris! Where were you?! I didn't see you in ages!", the other girl whisper-screamed. "I'm sorry, the killer knocked me out, then I was searching for you guys", I answered trying not to let her notice who I was. "You don't seem to be wounded", she said suspicious. Shit! "Um, that's because I found a medkit so that I could heal myself.... Anyways, what happened to Summer?" "The psychopath attacked her!" My heart skipped a beat. Psychopath? I'm perfectly sane! Although I can kind of understand her calling me a psycho from her perspective. My gaze wandered over to Summer and I could see that she was freezing, so I went to an old drawer, pulled a blanket out of it and layed it over her. "How did you know there was a blanket inside?" "I was searching the house earlier." She raised her eyebrow but got distracted by another guy walking into the building. "Greg!", she said happily while hugging him. I wondered if they were a couple. "I'm so happy to see you unharmed, Elizabeth!" Elizabeth, that was her name! After they let go of each other, he came to me and punched me softly in my arm. "Good to see you alive, dude!" "You too... dude." So he's one of the "cool" guys. Well I suppose Chris only hangs out with the cool guys, as he always tried to be tough.
